About this project
Project London, perhaps the most ambitious almost-no-budget effects movie ever attempted, is done! It's finished! And now you can help us help you enjoy this movie... by buying it.
Thank You! Here's The First 92 Seconds!
Project London is an independent, almost no-budget, feature-length, live action movie with vivid, intense, and marrow-vibrating visual effects and animations created with the open source software Blender (and other traditional software) and 250 (or so) worldwide volunteers. See the Official Trailer below.
Production of Project London was completed via crowd-sourcing back in 2007, with post-production continuing into 2011, the soundtrack and color correction were completed in 2012 with a fund-raising campaign, and now your help is needed to release the movie.
We would like to release Project London on DVD and Blu-ray Disk along with the soundtrack on CD. The minimum costs for the creation of each item has been sourced and verified to create the budget for this campaign.
DVD: Authoring (menus, movie, extras), Replication & Shipping (2k disks)
BLU-RAY: Authoring (menus, movie, extras), Licensing Fees, Replication & Shipping (1k disks)
CD: Mastering, Replication & Shipping (1k disks)
Plus cost of additional rewards, shipping & handling of rewards, Kickstarter and credit card processing fees.

Please Help Us Spread The Word
We believe the only way we'll succeed is if you share this campaign far and wide. The way Kickstarter works, if we don't hit our fundraising target, then no one has to pay and there will be no disks of Project London. That would be a bummer. So we really do need your help sharing this campaign on Facebook and Twitter. Thank you!

If The Fundraising Goal Is Reached Quickly
If we receive enough pledges to achieve the fundraising goal before the campaign has ended, we will immediately start work to prepare for fulfillment of all rewards.
More Clips From Project London
This is the first clip we released after principal photography was completed and we needed to recruit some more Blender Artists to the project.
This is the first clip released including live action footage composited with the animations we created using Blender.
This is the last teaser we released before assembling the Official Trailer. Like Project London: Unleashed!, this teaser features music from Half Acre Day.
Risks and challenges
The movie is done, but it's going to take some special care to get it rendered and out of the edit computer that we've been using since 2007. It crashes a lot. So a big hurdle will be to create a master render of the entire movie, at full resolution, uncompressed, for transfer to the authoring and replication vendor we will use. I expect this to be the biggest hurdle we'll face. We have access to tech support and will get it done.
From here, the movie and all other assets will be given to the authoring and replication vendor, subject to their routine turnaround and delivery. Fulfillment will be completed personally by Phil McCoy. He will also be providing regular updates to backers throughout the process.
This campaign ends January 10th and hopefully we will have achieved our fundraising goal so that we can start making disks. If the fundraising goal is reached before that date, we'll go ahead and make agreements with authoring and replication vendors and ship the assets to them.
We will move as quickly as possible to ship all your items as soon as they are ready.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
We are making plans to take orders directly from the Official Project London Website. This will take some time. And our first priority is to fulfill orders to Kickstarter Backers. So, if you would like to get an announcement when you can purchase a disk directly from the website, go there and add your email address to the email newsletter list. http://www.projectlondonmovie.com
There is no current plan to offer Project London in the PAL standard. We are planning to make the NTSC disks region free so if this is an issue and you have multi-standard playback equipment, you can play it. If you plans change and we do decide to make PAL standard disks, the best way to find out will be from the Project London email newsletter. Add your email to this list on the Official Project London Website: http://www.projectlondonmovie.com.
We are working on this. Our first priority was to raise the necessary funds to get the physical media created. And it looks like we'll achieve that goal thanks to everyone's help. Once we have fulfilled our obligations to prior supporters (Indiegogo Supporters + Kickstarter Backers), we'll be turning our attention to this possibility. The best way to find out about our progress on this is to add your email to the newsletter list on the Official Project London Website: http://www.projectlondonmovie.com.
You have always been able to purchase Project Manhattan and the Graphic Novel via the Official Project London Website. http://www.projectlondonmovie.com.
