CURRENT DEVELOPMENT STAGE: ART & STORY
All funding will go towards the full development of art assets and character creation.
En Credible Hughey is our lead animator for SIGNALS. They are gender non-binary, queer, and a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community.
They have served our country, been a jeweler, and worked in the service industry before becoming a full-time animator. They recently had carpal tunnel surgery, but have battled to recover and create this game.
In this stage of development, En has held more than 3 jobs just to be able to make ends meet. When they were recovering from carpal tunnel surgery, they made the decision to pursue animation full-time.
They, now, are working with Kurt Roembke and PHAT Workshop to get their feet in the door of the video game industry.
Kurt Roembke is the Lead Developer and Score Composer for SIGNALS.
He works part-time for a public television station and fills in at another television station to round out his 9-to-5. As a classically trained composer, his passions lie in his many creative endeavors.
As the Lead Developer for SIGNALS, his coding has influenced En and their ability to create the art assets for the game.
Please help us realized our dream of developing SIGNALS.
For this current stage of development, WE ARE ASKING FOR $800.00. This will help us manage our minimal lifestyle and focus on getting to our next stage of development which is functionality.
For every donation over $5.00 there is a reward. However, we hope our deepest thanks and gratitude for your time and money will top any reward we could conjure up.
Yay! We made it! We are so happy to have a good group of backers that believe in our dream. Thank you a bunch!
EARLY STRETCH GOALS
Our next phase of development is FUNCTIONALITY. Kurt is looking to use NINTENDO (first priority), PlayStation, and XBOX dev/kits to fine tune SIGNALS.If we reach this stretch goal we will purchase the dev/kits and start fine tuning the functionality for SIGNALS.
PART-TIME: En & Kurt will be able to work part-time on SIGNALS while keeping their full-time jobs. This will afford them to use their time productively as game developers and start to realize their full potential.
To date, this is the full cost of time, hours, and resources that have gone into signals. The development of SIGNALS has been fueled by passion, love, and fun (and will continue as such). With this stretch goal, we will start entering the game into game conventions across the USA and Canada. We could afford to have game testing and properly market the game once its at a demo or alpha phase. Thank you again for your support!En & Kurt and PHAT Workshop
Risks and challenges
We want to be able to have a life while pursuing our dream of developing video games. En has had carpal tunnel surgery which has kept them out of work for two-months. This Kickstarter is to fund this phase of the development process, and the extra cash could help alleviate stress for En while they heal from their surgery.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
