The Bambu Pet Hammock and Bambu Pet Diner, Pet Lounge Studios newest product design for our eco-friendly modern luxury pet furniture.
This project's funding goal was not reached on August 6, 2011.
Use this space to cheer the creator along, ask questions, and talk to your fellow backers. Please remember to be respectful and considerate. Thanks!
Very sad to hear that the goal will not be reached, but we are very much excited that you are still moving forward with production of the hammock. We are still very interested and we'll keep checking in for updates and ways to buy...
Phil, you are the man! Awesome support! Thank you so much for spreading the word.
I hope you reach your goal. I just teamed up with some people at work and bumped my pledge from $ 125 to $ 500 - I figure if every backer doubles their pledge, you will be funded. Backers, tell your friends about this great idea, but do it fast! Good luck Mr. Drew.
Hello to all of our Kickstarter Backers! Please visit our update section. Thank you!
Best of luck reaching the funding goal.
Also I need the shipping costing for Perth Australia.
Hi Patrick. Thank you for your comment and pledge. We will be developing a larger version in the near future, but for now all of our products are geared towards smaller breeds, besides our diners. Please sign up for our Kickstarter newsletter to stay updated at www.petloungestudios.com
These are gorgeous. I've pledged for the diner. Would love to get the hammock, but our 2 dogs are both about 55-60 lbs. Any chance you'll be making a larger one for them? Or does your business have another product which would be appropriate for them?

I went to NC State for Industrial Design so I totally know how exciting this must be for you! I find it fascinating reading about your successes with this project on the internet and I think it is a really unique and good design for pets! Happy to be a backer! Best of luck!!
I already have the lounger for the bedroom and don't think I've spoiled my dog enough yet so count me in. The lounger is really nice and she loves it, looking forward to the hammock and the diner.
Good Luck Corey.
Hi Nick and thank you for backing our project! Also, thank you for your suggestion. The colors were something we contemplated for a while. One of the reasons we choose that specific green fabric is because it will match the majority of peoples interiors. Another reason is because we want the focus to be on the beauty of the bamboo frame. We will have color options with our own inventory, which we are planning to have by December. We will also have inventory of a few new products.

Happy to be a Backer and love the design in the hammock. One comment...wish you had picked some different colors for the cushion. Maybe certain dyes are less environmentally friendly and that influenced the choice for brown and green. Against the dye of the bamboo the color of the cushion is lost a bit.
A ENORMOUS THANK YOU to EVERYONE for your support! Our project has been an amazing marketing experience for us and our branding approach has been working as planned. We couldn't be more excited .... well yes we could. Help us make the manufacturing documentary so we can show you how it's done!
Thank you! I can't tell you how many times I've been asked that same question. You're the first person that has pledged to have the answer. So funny! Sammy is my sister's family's dog and he's a mix of German Short-haired Pointer and something else. I have no idea what the something else is though! The picture was taken when he was a puppy and now Sammy's about 60lbs. I hope my answer was worth your dollar! Have a great weekend!
I'm pledging $1 just so I can ask what kind of puppy that is. I want it.
Happy to be 'a backer' for this project. I really appreciate the Eco-Friendly approach, thus have promoted as best I could to my clients and followers.
Looking forward to seeing the success of this project!
I have bought so many different bed for my pups and all end up getting hidden in any room but the living room (or thrown out). This bed would definitely get a place in the living room!!! Fingers crossed this gets funded. I really want one of these beds.
Your dog looked so happy in the picture I had to get the hammock....he's a naturally talented salesdog.
I am really hoping this project gets funded. These are very revolutionary ideas and I can't wait to take delivery of my pet hammock. Good luck Corey!
Really hoping the pledge goal is reached. I also require a shipping quote to Australia thanks.
Hi Patrick. Thank you for your pledge. I will work on getting you the shipping costs by the end of this week. We have a few very good marketing campaigns that we waiting to run. Once we run them we should be well on our way to the goal.
If by chance the project doesn't get funded we will still be placing an order, but it would not be until around December. We just launched our new website today and you can follow us and sign up for our newsletter.
Thanks again Patrick!
Hey what's the shipping to Singapore, and, could I still get it if it does not get funded?
This project needs funded! The design is not only original, it is a stroke of pure genius. I have a rat terrier that has a leg problem and it makes it hard for her to find comfort. This bed, I believe, will allow her to finally find that comfort she has been looking for.
Thank you for your pledge! To answer your question, yes it is very easy to assemble and disassemble. The Hammock comes flat packed and is assembled at the bottom by way of a lap joint. Then it is secured at the bottom with the use of a stainless steel screw and threaded insert so it won't strip the threads. There are two parts to the cushion. One is cushion's support, which is made with a strong synthetic outdoor canvas (Sunbrella type). This is precisely stretched out on all four corners and secured with stainless steel carabineers and anchors. The cushion rests on top of the supporting canvas and is machine washable. My original prototype has been in my living room for 2 years and has been put through every test imaginable. The same one my own dog uses has been unassembled and flown with me to a few different sales meetings, then back home again for my dog to sleep on. It is extremely durable and portable. I hope I answered your question. If you have any more please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks!
Quick question, is it easy to disassemble and reassemble the hammock?
Hi Koshka and Phil. Thank you so much for your complements! Much appreciated. We working hard at driving more traffic to our project. Unfortunately it is very hard to find our project on the Kickstarter page and have contacted the people at Kickstarter to see what we can do about it. No reply yet, but once we get one we will let you all know!
I could not be more excited about this project. Not only are these pieces of furniture gorgeous, but they are good for my pets and the environment. So much of the pet accessories I have looked at in stores are made from plastic and I would be embarrassed to have out in the living room when guests arrived. Not the case with these, and the raised metal bowls are much healthier and safer, especially for larger dogs. Thanks Mr. Drew and best of luck with this project.
I am super excited about this project! It's the first thing I've ever backed, and it's kind of a thrill being involved in something like this! I so hope this project gets funded, not the least because I can't wait to see my kitties enjoying their new hammock bed!
Thank you so much Chris for the kind words and support! Our press releases went out today and in within the next few weeks we are scheduled to be mentioned on a variety of design and pet blogs! I will keep everyone updated on our progress! Have a great weekend my friend!
Not only does this look like a brilliantly designed product, but Corey is a genuinely nice guy who is really passionate about what he's doing. Really hoping this gets funded.
