Mine do not work.
The number I was given to call is not being answered this morning. Briefly, my right skate does not take a full charge, both skates immediately go to medium charge upon turning them on and the right skate lags behind the left one.
Please help me.
Selling mine on eBay if anyone wants them. Used them a few times and are great. I just don't have the same comute as i used to so I don't really need them anymore. They are fun though.

To clarify things, I attempted my runs on a carpet and they didn't do so well. When I tried them on a hard flat surface, things were much more productive.
However, I still have an issue with one skate not charging completely.

Peter, I received my spnKiX yesterday and immediately started charging them.
When I woke up this morning, more than 12 hours after I started charging them, one skate's light (the right one) was still red instead of green. However, when I turned it on, it indicated it had a full charge. I strapped them on and attempted my first ride. The left one seemed to be doing fine, but the right one moved much slower. After just two minutes of this, the left skate still indicated a full charge while the right one showed only half a charge left.
I put them both back on the charger and left them for another eight hours. The right skate still shows a red light instead of green. A little help? Thx!

Can us newbies get some pointers? I've seen the videos but it's still really hard for me. Why did we only get 1 training wheel?
I got a tracking number 6 days ago. Still no shipping update via USPS website, and no package at my door. I live in Ohio, so for those in NY who already have theirs, how did they go from CA to NY faster than CA to OH?! Definitely not understanding the issues here.
Jason , I agree I have sent 3-4 emails , asked for info here and still no reply , it does not bode well at all for the future .
What happens if these need to be repaired to serviced ( as they will ) or theres some fault that requires 2 way input from both team and user ?

Let's get this straight, the product is 5 months behind schedule, we have had extremely minimal contact from the team, and now you turn around and demand another $55 for shipping? Nobody thought to go and ask how much shipping would cost in advance?
Got my spnkix, woot! Went out a bit, kinda intimidated by the learning curve though.
One thing the bothers me ( I have bad RSI ) is the switch on the throttle , can any one tell me if it works like a twist throttle ( where you have to hold against a spring all the time maintain speed ) or whether its possible to remove your hand without always having to push / press it ?

@Stuart - You should have received a manual via email a few months ago (I got mine on 6/20). Dunno if it comes with a physical manual, I haven't gotten my set yet.
@Euan - It's not in the aforementioned manual as to how to take the cover off, I have no idea...

Peter, I got mine yesterday - They look awesome. One small problem. The battery cover on the remote won't open. Is there a secret? (I'm at the point of leaving marks on the plastic trying to pry it open).

@Wiley, we emailed Dino. Thanks for your feedback, we communicate with some of the backers via emails, some via phone calls.
Of the KickStarter projects I have backed, this one and Sparxgear have had the WORST communications policies. It seems most KickStarter project managers are gracious and appreciative to the people who believe in their project enough to financially support their dream. They feel obligated to their backers. They engage their supporters even after they have received their money. But these two projects seem to regard their backers as minor pests that are easily ignored. Most backers understand delays, manufacturing problems, shipping hold ups, etc. They just want to be kept *informed*. When the product ends up on Amazondotcom, the backers are going to be the first ones leaving reviews. Abysmal communication leaves a bad taste and taints backers' opinions of the products they initially believed in.
Peter, Dino Lee has been asking for information for weeks. You have shipped to other Asian countries already. And he lives in the country where the spnKiX were manufactured. He has a legitimate question about when he can expect his spnKiX. You are just ignoring him. A quick comment or a direct email to him would be appropriate.
