      @Bryan - I can see the playmat coming in handy in situations where you need to bring a few smallish tables together to create enough table space for the game (not an uncommon scenario at cons, for example). Those faults where the the tables come together could be trouble with the tiles. The mat would solve that problem.

      The playmat looks tempting. Does it enhance the play experience, e.g. make it easier to place everything and keep it in place? Or does it get in the way because it's too big and unadaptable to different tables?

      Will the artbook contain the Aurora Ultraviolet stories too?

      @Kent What is hyper cool? The RPG?

      @sevan that would be hyper cool.

      @Kent I would buy that in a attosecond. I also heard maybe an RPG, which I am also extremely interested in. All the aliens are so interesting and cool, particularly the Zepzeg, and you guys managed the near impossible feat if making humans a dynamic and fascinating race next to the other species. I just want to learn everything about them so my stories can do them the slightest bit justice.

      Siiiiigh. Y'know I was thinking the art book was the only thing I didn't need but now you've gone and convinced me to get the physical one.

      @Kent Alright! Literally the best thing a fan creator can hear is "Go right ahead" from one of the actual creators.

      No, the humans are not allowed to be one of the 2 free civs for the corvette pilot. The Humans are ONLY free for the Starship Captains. For all other pledge levels, they must be a $15 add-on.

      @Dajebriza
      the black and white dice come in the core box.

      @dajebriza: I believe the Core Game already comes with black (dark grey) and white (ivory) dice.

      Why is there not a black and white dice set included with the pledge levels that have 5-6 players? Will that be available? The dice sets seem incomplete.

      Sevan - there will be lore in the book, we just wanted to highlight the more visual side for this update. That said I totally encourage you to come up with and share whatever lore you imagine :)

      Hey folks, happy Tuesday. can I choose the human civ as one of my 2 civs free with corvette pilot? I assume so, but the extra $15 Ala carte throws me for a hyperloop.

    15. Jacques Capesius on

      Must say - I'm loving these updates. Sandy, are you gonna do another of your live FB chats?

    16. Sevan Pasch on

      So there's not really lore information in the book. That means I can make up my own, right?

      Ugg, this is why I have people to proof stuff. Fixed. :)
