Thanks for the mention Arthur. I was the one who suggested it over on BGG. Definitely not an original idea Per se but it sure seemed like this game could use it with so many unique civs! I’m glad it has been incorporated so well!!
More and more, Hyperspace seems to be "Cosmic Encounter- the board game"!!
Which is a high complement!
Nice, also handy just to have all the portraits.
If there are civ expansions in the future, they will come with new cards for the deck?
Fantastic idea. Why not also put a short text summary description of the civ on the card to also allow you to browse through the cards and pick one based on it's race description, play style and key abilities. This would allow players to also use these cards as a tool to pick their desired civ baed on difficulty and play style.
@Sandy Petersen - LOL! True! All too true!
What is this thing you call "bike"?
Jim 'the Collector' - I think there is a little of your family in every Kickstarter backer.
@nick The back of the Civ sheets will have that info. These are just to quickly pick a random civ.
Awesome. Are they going to have a summary of what makes each civ unique?
Such an amazing birthday present!
They look amazing! Thanks!
Also, great decision to keep them together! It will prevent color variances of the backsides between print runs for people getting the expansions later.
I will hand my civ card as a business card when friendly colonizing an occupied planet hehe
To be clear - this was suggested to Tony and me via a user on BGG. I can't immediately find the thread, but that person should get the credit for the idea. (Not that this is the first game to have something like this). But that person recommended it, and I thought it was great, told Tony to make them, and then ONCE they were made, we showed Sandy as a fait accompli ;)
AH, my family does not take the best up close shots but I still love them! ;)
Difficulty rankings arer super useful. Very nice!
