Onslaught 3 - and a gift for ye!
We are planning to launch Cthulhu Wars: Onslaught 3 tomorrow at 8 am CST (Cthulhu Standard Time).
If you are a backer on Onslaught Two - EVEN a late backer, we have a "Thanks" credit for you on Onslaught 3. During the Pledge Manager, you will have $10 of credit which you can apply towards shipping, add-ons, or almost anything really. Sadly, we couldn't figure out a way for you to use it to reduce your base pledge price (since we cannot make pledge levels specific for a group of people). But even if you only use it for shipping, that's a saving for you.
This credit is basically for your enduring patience with our shipping delays and mishaps of THIS Kickstarter. We recognize that without YOU, we literally wouldn't be here making great games. And so our collective hats are off to you.
Lower Shipping Prices
We found a new way to ship our products that is both more reliable AND cheaper. This means that the costs for shipping are going to be lower in Onslaught 3. Our estimated costs are given on the page at the bottom (right now, we only have confirmation of US, Canada and Europe, however).
Incidentally, and a FYI, the shipping prices for Onslaught Two were higher for us than anticipated, so we covered the extra costs. Our privilege. Just wanted to let you know we're not profiting off the shipping costs - quite the reverse.
Australia and VF
One of the reasons for the shipping change just referenced was that some Australian rewards were sent to the wrong continents! That's right, a few of our Australian friends STILL don't have their complete sets, and we feel really terrible about this. We have team members whose constant focus is on satisfying you guys - you are not forgotten, and we won't rest till you get everything.
Also, we are working towards correcting the erroneous shipments to some backers in France and Belgium who received some English versions which should have been VF. This should be corrected soon. Thank you for your patience!
We are China Ready!
We should have a quicker turnaround this time, as everything you see on the page has been sculpted and the art and text is laid out. Once Onslaught 3 is funded we can immediately go into production!
Arthur, our project manager, has a short, informal video series about the various segments of board game development and production. If you want to know some details about our manufacturing process, you can watch the "We are China Ready" video on the Kickstarter page, as well as the other videos immediately following it (it's a Youtube playlist).
Yours in the Yellow Sign,
