To @ZippyFund thanks so much for the positive feedback, we have lots of other cool features coming in the near future, it's going to be awesome. Within the next month we will be offering 4x faster motors for upgrade with Romo, wail till the cat sees him then (haha).
Thanks again,
-James

My Romo pulls to the left. It does this on any kind of surface. Any trim adjustment?
ShimmerGeek on April 25, 2012
Hi, my Romo arrived however it does not work, the motors for the wheels don't do anything, the app thinks it's switched off. I've contacted support four times now, through three contact methods... What can I do?

Robert, I'd turn to the forum, except their ToS really just felt incredibly off-putting to me. As for the Romo issue, I imagine it's either the tolerance of the Romo, or somehow there's enough of a difference between 3 and 4 pole jacks to mess with said difference. Either way, when it does work it feels incredibly janky controlling using only pulses to tell when to stop and go. Half the time my Romo simply goes forever in a given direction from zero position unless I input a different direction...
Robert-Reinder Nederhoed on April 7, 2012
Hi Viet Nguyen, I had the same problem today. When connecting my Android to a speaker, signals did come out, but my Romo did not care to move when it was connected. :-(
I will turn to the forum on Romotive with this error.
wildone81 on April 1, 2012
Wow, that sounds like a hardware problem to me (maybe a circuit glitched or something). That's assuming that it happens when nothing is connected to the Romo, so I'll leave further diagnosis to Romotive to hash out: :)
As an addendum to my tests with Android devices, I went ahead and tried out a Nexus One I have, only to have the Romo sit quietly doing nothing. It was also lagging like crazy, so I'm probably not going to care about being able to use it either way.
Simon on April 1, 2012
Hi, I have just received mine and turned two of the three on and one of them wont stop spinning its left trac (while it is in my hand and on the ground facing me ) please let me know what can be done to fix this,
wildone81 on March 30, 2012
Ok, simple test that I was able to do with a MW600 stereo bluetooth headset connected directly to the Romo while paired to the G2x results in a working Romo. So that means the output is just wrong enough through the headset of at least my G2x to render it unable to control the Romo.
Romotive 2-time creator on March 30, 2012
Hi Viet,
I'm sorry to hear about the Romos not working. We've been testing with as many Android phones as we can, but didn't get to test with the G2x. Over this next week, we'll buy a similar LG phone and test and let you know about a possible fix.
Thanks,
Phu

... and it still won't respond to a G2x with an ICS build installed. At least the front camera's output isn't vertically flipped :) I guess that means the G2x alters the frequency output just enough to not be recognizable by either of my Romos...
wildone81 on March 29, 2012
Well, I finally received my two Romos, only to run into a somewhat strange issue. It has no problem listening to the output of a T-Mobile G2 and maneuvering wherever I tell it to, but if I use the T-Mobile G2x, it won't move a single inch. I can switch front and back cameras (though the front camera's output is vertically flipped), change faces, but no movement at all. I've maxed out the volume and tested it unplugged to see if anything would come out (and it does make sound) but I get nothing from a G2x. I've also tried placing an inline volume control to see if it was clipping, but no dice. The Romo does not listen to what a G2x running stock Gingerbread outputs. I guess my next step is to try an ICS build and see if there's a difference. but I thought I'd try this spot one more time.
Austin Herry on March 25, 2012
Shoot, never mind. One phone works, but I had the volume down. Now to figure out how to get the other phone to work as the docked one. Sorry about that.
Austin Herry on March 25, 2012
Well I was super excited and immediately grabbed both my android smartphones to get the apps, but using both docked/remotes I can not get the romo to move. If I unplug the cord it makes the sounds and I can change the faces, but no movement. I had the base charged, tried it with the base on and off and tried cycling it many times, but it doesn't respond. How would I go about troubleshooting?
