Bike Route Sacramento is a family board game designed around building bike routes. Players find locations in Sacramento and connect them together to get awards.
Bike Route Sacramento is a game about connecting locations in town together using bike routes. You will get cards showing which places need to be connected. These are the places that people want to go in town.
Each time you complete a bike route you get Awards from the community. The first one to seven Award points, is commended as the greatest bike route maker in town, and wins the game.
All the bikes share the routes so you can work with the other players to connect parts of town together faster.
Each Retail game includes everything you need for up to 4 players. All stretch goals will be included in every retail box so you don't have to worry about missing out. The game rules include optional rules for more advanced play that make bike route a gamers game.
Bike Route is simple enough for everyone to play from junior to grandma. But it has some deeper strategies that can make the difference to winning the game.
You have a limit of 12 pawns in your hand. If you have 11 or 12 you cannot choose this action on your turn. Come on play some pawns!
While it is tempting to keep drawing cards you cannot have more than 5 cards in your hand at any time. If you have 5 cards you cannot choose this action.
Sometimes you just don't have the right pawns and you need that certain color. You can return any number of pawns to the bag so it is better to wait until you have a big hand full before you choose to trade in.
In this example you can trace a route from Tower to Curtis Park with 2 purple pawns and 2 white pawns so this Bike Route is complete. You do not have to use the most direct route to complete the card.
You can only score 1 card each turn so don't let them pile up or you may find that the game ends and you still have cards in your hand.
Bike Route Sacramento has been a huge labor of love and there are more than 60 original paintings in the game featuring Sacramento from the past, present and future.
You can see high resolution images of these paintings on the Bike Route Sacramento website Locations Page.

Bike Route Sacramento is the 20th title from TableStar Games. To celebrate here is a look back at some of our older titles.
Bike Route Sacramento has been in development for almost 10 years. It started out as a game called Connections by Robert Carroll. This game was great but we never published it. The game would have languished on the shelf forever except that my daughter continued to want to play it. "Papa lets play Connections" she would say and we would play it. The game was great and I wanted to find a new theme to put on the mechanics. One day lightning struck: What if I make it about building bike routes around town??!
This was such a perfect fit that the game development quickly took off. The locations around Sacramento turned out to be the perfect places to join together and being such a great bike town the rest of it just worked. I built several maps and settled on the central part of town with a little bit of West Sacramento and a few locations north of the River.
Thank You to all of our supporters and everyone who helped make Bike Route Sacramento possible! We hope this is but the first many new releases for TableStar Games!
