Foreword Author Announced
I have some pretty incredible news. I've been conversing with Joe Cornish - one of the foremost landscape photographers of our generation, and someone who has been a major influence on my work. He has very generously agreed to write the foreword for Irish Light. Of course, I've had to update the cover art to reflect this, so here it is:
I'm absolutely delighted about this. Joe's book First Light: A Landscape Photographer's Art was instrumental to my development as a photographer, so to have his stamp of approval on my first book is quite simply mind blowing.
I also would like to thank all of the new backers over the weekend who put the project over the $20,000 mark. I continue to be humbled and amazed by the reaction to the book and I really can't wait to get it into your hands. We're very close now to the $25,000 stretch goal which will allow me to do a larger print run and add pages, along with other improvements to the quality of the book. Let's keep pushing to make that a reality and make this book the best it can be.
I'll be visiting with Paul Curtis, the artisan bookbinder, tomorrow to start work on the design of the special edition of Irish Light. You can expect another update soon with photos and hopefully video of the process of creating the prototype. Stay tuned!
Thanks again to you all.
