Jerusalem Post Covers "Holy Land"! Time for a New Push!
Thrilling to wake up this morning to read the Jerusalem Post's detailed coverage of "Holy Land" and this campaign! Here's the article: http://bit.ly/WwAV16
After only 9 days on Kickstarter we're at more than 70 percent of our funding goal. Thanks to all for your support, which has been very, very generous.
It's been a somber, reflective couple of days since the death of Rabbi Menachem Froman, one of the main subjects of the film. As the JPost notes, Rabbi Fruman is really the spiritual center of the film. Rabbi Fruman was a founder of the settlement movement, deeply steeped in the theological roots of first generation settlers. Yet he also embraced co-existence, notably stating that would become a citizen of a Palestinian state. We excerpt our last interview with Froman, and there's also a video, on our blog: http://www.holylandfilm.com/rabbi-menachem-froman/
We are working hard to make this campaign not only about raising the money, but also about building a community around the film. Building a circle of supporters is essential for reaching the wide audience we hope to reach, an audience that goes across usual partisan divides.
Thanks to the tireless effort of outreach director Fivel Rothberg, live events are coming together in the New York area. We had our very first outreach even on Tuesday at the Washington Heights YMHA. It was a rowdy, cantankerous, full-house crowd of seniors, and I completely enjoyed it.
You guys have already helped so much! Please remember of mention us in your Facebook page and Twitter feeds. Here are some links to make it easier:
THANK YOU EVERYONE!
I KNOW IT'S NOT EASY, BUT PLEASE, TELL AT LEAST ONE OTHER PERSON ABOUT THIS CAMPAIGN!
