A prototype is a preliminary model of something. Projects that offer physical products need to show backers documentation of a working prototype. This gallery features photos, videos, and other visual documentation that will give backers a sense of what’s been accomplished so far and what’s left to do. Though the development process can vary for each project, these are the stages we typically see:
Proof of Concept
Explorations that test ideas and functionality.
Demonstrates the functionality of the final product, but looks different.
Looks like the final product, but is not functional.
Appearance and function match the final product, but is made with different manufacturing methods.
Appearance, function, and manufacturing methods match the final product.
Iconic design for the home
These speakers are designed to last. We use genuine materials such as aluminium and hardened glass for a durable, high quality product. The visual appearance is boiled down to the essential, iconic, sound making elements. The glass cabinets ensure a big sound, yet these speakers blend nicely into any home environment. No extra decoration that disturbs the focus on your music. No “fancy styling” or that ages fast - we aim for the timeless.
Elle Decoration UK Magazine called us the best luxury Christmas gift, and now our first product is sold at the museum of modern art (MoMA) in New York. Based on our Kickstarter backers feedback, we are now back with all new and improved versions.
Crystal clear, transparent sound
We are very proud of the sound quality of these speakers. Our products are designed for homes but they are also suitable for places like cafés and creative studios. Our range contain two sizes: The larger speakers that get’s people dancing in a large living room and the smaller one that get’s you dancing while cooking or getting out of bed in the morning.
Get in touch if you’d like to get a live demo and we’ll try to make it happen. Otherwise - why don’t you take Steve Angello’s word for it? This world famous DJ and artist happens to use our speakers when testing his beats. He recently told us that he “totally loves” the way our speakers delivers a rich bass, clear vocals and crisp highs, how it manages to stay true to a recording even when cranking up the volume.
For the simplest wireless music experience, we are offering a small bluetooth button that can control your music in a way that you actually already know. One click for play/pause, double click for next song. Simple as that.
The Flic button uses bluetooth (BLE) and can also be set to perform more specific tasks in the smartphone app.
It has a very long battery life from a replaceable standard coin cell, no charging needed.
We believe this offers the best possible setup for a great sounding and great looking home.
Our design philosophy takes a stand against wear and tear, against the “throw away culture” that is currently trashing our planet. We do this by considering the entire product life cycle - where does the product come from, how is it used, where does it end up?
The Transparent Speakers are designed almost entirely from materials that can be recycled to the same quality over and over again. The whole construction is modular, and meant to be upgraded over time. Instead of ending up on a landfill after only a few years like most electronic products of today, we have designed these products to be repaired, disassembled and reassembled over and over again.
We acknowledge that technology changes. Fast. In addition to Bluetooth built in, the speakers also feature a standard headphone jack on the front and one more in the dock space for easy input to the speaker. So if you want to upgrade you can just use the headphone jack in the dock and the powered USB socket to connect a WiFi dongle.
As an example you can fit the Amazon Echo Dot (40 usd) or the Google Chromecast Audio (30 usd) in the docks space under the small Transparent Speaker. And on the large speaker there is even a “Toaster Slot” for Apple Airport express on the back (100 usd).
We are a small independent creative studio based in Stockholm, Sweden. Please help us make our new small Transparent Speaker a reality by backing us today.

Risks and challenges
Building a new kind of sustainable consumer electronic product is a complex and time-consuming task. We are humble to the challenge and know there are many pieces that will need to be put together for it to work. One such thing is obviously financial so we are asking Kickstarter backers for help to be able to get to production of the Small Transparent Speaker.
Getting to the point where we can ship the speaker to your door from the point we are at now, involves the following:
1) Getting the electronics to really perform. This is no small feat. We have a functioning prototype with all the components in place.
2) Testing and certifying the product with the new Bluetooth 5 standard
3) Getting international safety and regulatory marks.
4) Shipping the product.
We are not shying away from any of these challenges. While we are taking them seriously, we are adamant in overcoming any problem. We are committed to getting the Small Transparent Speaker and updated Large Transparent into the market and have all the skills needed to do so. We think the current Transparent Speaker is the best proof of that. With the help from the Kickstarter community, we can have the resources to move into production while also completing all of the tasks above!
