Answer to question 1. Yes - as you thought from the FAQ.
2. We are looking into a solution here as we would love to be able to provide the stereo sound option through two speakers. This is one of the ongoing discussions we're having with the tech team.
(1) As far as I understand from the FAQ, we will be able to update the speakers' firmware - due to WIFI connectivity. Is this correct?
(2) One possible approach to implement stereo (both for bluetooth and wifi) is to enable the speakers to ignore left or right - either by a physical switch or by app (see 1) I do see that such a feature can lead to all sorts of misunderstanding, but it can be explained with proper documentation;)
Is there chance that stereo can be enabled for two speakers along these lines?
Not a dealbreaker for me, but it would be cool nonethess.
If you can still make them without Kickstarter, even more expensive, I am still interested in buying. I am very surprised this isn't taking off, I got a lot of likes when sharing on Facebook, the design is a hit!

@Paul and @creators. I'm in no hurry. The design stands out, audio quality can't be a total loss, given people poeple's experience and the specs. So even if you dont make your rather ambitious goal, count me in for any kind of relaunch.
As a backer who has a strong preference for the black option (so glad you've added it) I find it a bit too hidden for the typical entry points to the campaign. The still for the video, which serves as the main thumbnail in all project listings on KS, only shows the white option. How about making the black option a little bit more prominent, e.g. by inserting a banner with sth. like "Now also (available) in black! + small image of the black option into the still? Other campaigns use such bannners to brag about stretch goals;)

Good question. We send from a European warehouse to European backers and from an US based warehouse for those in the US or outside of Europe so you will not pay import tax. Hope that makes it a little clearer.
Can somebody maybe tell me how it works with the import tax? I once ordered a smartphone case from the states (I live in Th Netherlands) and when it got delivered I had to pay tax. That was a surprise for me. And a don't want that again.. is somebody having any experience with this kind of things?

Considering the market, the speaker - with all its wireless options - is a bargain, and - it's certainly beautiful. I sure hope that this campaign succeeds.
Will it have a remote power on functionality over Bluetooth? It's probably the best functionality of the UE Boom, when you don't have to climb out of bed to start playing music :D
