Update #9: 400k Hit! 5.1 Sound Mix Unlocked! Next Stretchgoal Revealed!

Posted by Penny Arcade (Creator)

With 3 days left, we hit the $400,000 mark! Wow! Thank you everyone for getting us this far!

And to be fair, we actually had a $5,000 side contribution for the Associate Producer Credit from good friend Steve Dengler of Dracogen fame! (Thanks Steve!) So to hit the next stretchgoal, we actually only need to reach $445,000!

And I suppose you want to know what that stretchgoal is.... here you go!

So as of this posting, we're at $401k... and with that other $5k, we only need $44,000 for Van to produce a behind-the-scenes featurette, exclusive to backers! It'll look into the filming and creation of the series with exclusive interviews, footage, and more. Timing for this will likely be between Spring and Summer of next year!

Again, thank you everyone for all of your support. This has been an amazing campaign, and we're looking forward to getting this project off the ground!

Good to see things going well! I would echo Eugene's ambivalence about exclusivity below - let's make it for everyone!

(Let's be honest, it's gonna be on filesharing thingies of one kind or another pretty well immediately upon release, might as well ensure you get to decide the quality of the encoding and which ads or links it gets wrapped in...)

Good Guy Dengler, continuing to support the things I care about.

Fingers crossed, though $445,000 looks optimistic at this point. The mystery of what the other two stretch goals would have been shall haunt my dreams...

Personally I would like to see the behind-the-scenes being public, not exclusive to backers. What's the point of exclusivity?

Hey wait a minute, you switched the order.....? #4 had been #3...... Mysterious....!
