"As you blink the grogginess from your eyes,
you remember what happened and why you are here..."
Trapped within a forest of death, you, the White Stag, must find a way out before the hunter chasing you gains his prize. That is....unless the forest kills you first.
'The White Stag'. The most exalted prize of the forest. Only the greatest of hunters can hope to claim its head. It's rather unfortunate to know that such a man is the one pursuing you.
But what is this? As you traverse the forest, a darker reality will be unveiled. Blood-soaked liaisons, sorrow, hatred and lust all melded together in the life of your pursuer. Could it be? Is it even possible to think that the hunter may have deeper reasons for pursuing you aside from pride?
WARNING - SOME MATERIAL IN THIS GAME MAY BE CONSIDERED INAPPROPRIATE FOR CHILDREN UNDER 15
While pixelated, this game will contain:
- gruesome depictions of death and dismemberment
- Various mentions of sex, rape, torture, and murder
The Hunt was originally a 2015 freeware game but is being rebuilt and will be published on Steam to help support the developer. Game will be released in English. (It's possible translated versions will be available as well depending on how badly it's desired.)
Risks and challenges
If you're so close to being done, why do you need money?
-Mostly because of the animation that WILL be included at the end. It's not going to be very long, but the proper tools and materials needed to make it do cost a pretty penny. Depending on how much money we raise, we might use some of it to hire translators so we can release the game in different languages.
If I give money, but you're not successfully funded, what do I lose?
-Nothing. If we aren't successfully funded, we get nothing and your money bounces back to you.
Why is your delivery time so long on the rewards?
-We don't know if a lot of people will want the rewards and we're not sure how many months it will take to complete the animation. We're fairly certain everything will be complete before the end of 2017 and we'd likely deliver the rewards before December.
How do I know you won't take the money and not give a reward?
-The buttons are already made so all they'd be doing in our possession is collecting dust. You can look at our Steam page to see that there has been a lot of effort poured into this very real game. The animation is going to be done regardless of funding or not, but once everything's done, the cels won't be needed anymore.
We are currently doing a bug run to make sure the scripts are running properly. Finishing this project is top priority right now, but that doesn't mean it's immune to delays and problems. Remember, Rome wasn't built in one night!
