Smell that freshly cut grass? Those wafts of smoke from the neighbor's charcoal grill? Yesterday was the (Northern Hemisphere) Summer Solstice, and that means one thing:

IT'S KICKSTARTER SEASON!

OMG OMG OMG WHAT COULD IT BE?!

We're not going to fully spill the beans just yet (did you know that "bohne spiller" is German for "bean spiller?") but we will cordially y'all to kickoff our pre-launch festivities with us. Shall we? We shall.

GET LIMITED EARLY BIRD REWARDS & MAYBE 500 SMACKEROOS!

To do so, signup at peakdesign.com/ks!

This time around we're planning on offering some limited-quantity early bird rewards. To make sure you have the best chance of gobbling them up before they're gone, you can signup to receive an email notification right before we launch. To sweeten the deal, those who signup are entered to win one of 3 $500 Kickstarter credits, which you'll be able to apply toward any product in our upcoming campaign! You can increase your chances of winning by over 20x by helping us spread the word even more (details provided after you signup). So, go ahead and get crackin!

TELL ME MORE ABOUT THESE EARLY BIRD REWARDS

These will likely be in the form of several limited-quantity rewards with discounted prices (more discounted that our typical Kickstarter discount) available to folks who jump on board right away. Our campaigns typically last 2 months, so we'd like to do a lil' something nice for those who are on board from day 1. Plus, it's a great way to start a campaign off with a bang, and build the buzz beforehand. When it comes to our campaigns, the more backers the merrier. We had over 17,000 people support our Everyday Messenger campaign, and this time around we hope and plan to have even more folks join the party.

WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH PD AND KICKSTARTER?

For the many of you who joined us last Summer for the very first time, here's the scoop: we've launched a new product (or more accurately products) via Kickstarter every year since 2011. This Summer's campaign will be our 6th campaign. Crowdfunding is the core of our business model, and it's why we absolutely love our jobs. It's also why we've been able to maintain a laser-beam focus on our design process, and in our opinion consistently put out products that are as beautiful as they are functional, and markedly different from everything else out there. We'll certainly go into more detail on this in the future, but right now we'll just reiterate how incredibly important our backers are to us, and how very excited we are to have y'all along for the ride once again.

Muchas smooches!

The buckle on the shoulder strap slips. Slightly annoying for a premium product. Bag is good. Be carefull when using the top zip that items actualy go in the bag and not on the floor too!

I need a cup holder that would attach to my clip.

No, I did not know this - though I am German since almost 60 years. But you never stop learning.

Bohne spiller?!? What should that be?

    13. Michael Fernald on

Agree with the comments, looks like a backpack or luggage!

Let it be an Alpine Photo Backpack! ;-)

    15. Peter Imhoff on

Sternum strap was a label in the video. On that basis, a backpack would be a really good guess.

"STURNIM STRAP" Included in a bundle with a backpack? Yes? Please?

    17. Troy Arnold on

      What could it possibly be!

Shut up and take my money already!!

If you're releasing a mirrorless messenger bag sized between the 13" messenger and the field pouch I'm going to faint.

    20. Nico Garibay on

I'm really hoping for a backpack!!!
