Happy Friday! Anybody out there currently in #beastmode?

Additionally, it's been a helluva Earth Month.

On Earth Day we donated 100% of our sales (over $25K!) to the Conservation Alliance, who helps businesses connect with and support environmental nonprofits.

Now, onto the main event:

CARRYOLOGY THREE-PEAT?

Every year a website called Carryology puts on the Carry Awards, a roundup of the best and most groundbreaking bags and carry accessories released over the past year. As we see it, the Carryology and it's community of self-admitted bag geeks are the foremost experts on the everyday carry landscape. Last year, the Everyday Messenger and Field Pouch both won carry awards. This year, we've got not one, not two, but three horses in the race.

We don't design products to win awards. But golly, it sure puts hop in our step when industry leaders like Carryology recognize the thoughtfulness behind our products. If you have a free 15 seconds this afternoon, we'd love it if you cast your votes for the Everyday Backpack, Tote, and Sling. Just click the images below and scroll down to see the voting buttons at the very bottom.

Hey Dave and William and possibly others, sorry that you don't like these updates, if you wish to cease receiving notifications via email of these updates, it is possible to turn them off using the preferences in your Kickstarter Profile https://www.kickstarter.com/help/faq/backer+questions#faq_41871

      I hope that helps.

Manu Pass, I note that you have not yet completed your Backerkit Survey, until you do so, we cannot send you your Reward. I have resent the link to the Survey, but would note that reminders have been sent in previous Updates including the link for your survey which can be found here https://the-everyday-backpack-tote-and-sling.backerkit.com

If you have further issues Manu, please contact info@peakdesign.com so that we can assist you. I can assure you we are not a 'bluff company' but can only work with the information we are provided.
      Best wishes.

I totally agree with William Yu.

Please stop pumping out these "updates" unless it's something important pertaining to this campaign or you have a new product to announce coming to KS. It's spammy.

Other than that, I'm excited to see what PD has coming down the line. Keep up the great product creation.

I have all three bags awarded and love them all equally for different occasions. Congrats!

I have come to resent these project updates. The project is over. All the bags are delivered. There aren't any design update or progress update of *the project* anymore.

What I am seeing here is the project update mailing list has become another *marketing mail list* for Peak Design, and it's causing me to lose some respect of the company.

I understand companies needs to market their products, but those should be ethically done on newsletters that people specifically sign up for... don't disguise it as some kind of update to the proejct. Look into your hearts and ask yourself, are the last 3 "project update" really has anything to do with the project? It's about 1) Please vote for us 2) renno PD office / Please vote for us 3) Please vote for us / bag impression result survey / instruction video.

IMHO, the ethical way for PD to do is, send one last project update asking people to sign up to PD's newletter if they want to see non-project related news (votes, awards, what's going on, coporate mission, what I did last weekend...), and return this list to project related news (instruction videos, we're making another bag, *this bag* related survey / survey results)

PD, you guys makes excellent bags (I own 3 of the last 4 that was made) and you are a pretty respectable/socially responsible company compare to a lot of them out there. Don't lose it now.
