Let's talk bags...how did we do?

HEYO!

Been awhile since we last chatted. Not sure what it's like in your neck of the woods, but over here it's feeling a lot like spring.

Except in Niseko, Japan, where it is still most definitely winter. Some PD folks recently visited for the CP+ tradeshow in Yokohama and subsequent skiing in Hokkaido.

That's a 20L EDB peeking out behind Dave's back, by the way. Over the past few months it has been a great honor to see so many Everyday Bags out there in the wild...we hope that many of you have reveled in bumping into somebody else with a PD bag. For the uninitiated, the proper etiquette in that instance is to scream "EEE DEE BEE, Y'ALL!" and bear hug the other person. Trust us, that's what you do.

THE BAG FEEDBACK SURVEY IS HERE

You've had some time to get up-close and personal with your new bags, and we want to know what you think. So, we put together a survey to get your first impressions. If you've got a free minute on this fine Friday, we'd love for you to fill it out. We'll happily share the results in a future update!

LEAVE A REVIEW ON AMAZON

Got a pep in your step today? We'd love it if you left a review of one of our new Everyday Bags on Amazon. Currently there are only a handful of reviews out there, so each new one we get significantly improves the shopping experience for new customers. To make it easy, here is a set of direct links:

If your product isn't listed above, it means we're working hard to get it listed on Amazon. We're also working hard to consolidate our existing listings, and clean up the images and messaging to be consistent with our website and Kickstarter page. You'd be surprised by how incredibly difficult it can be for a brand to ensure the info displayed on Amazon is accurate. But dag-nabbit, we're tryin'.

DO YOU GIVE A SHOT?

Peak Design has an interesting perch in the outdoors and photography worlds—namely, we sit smack-dab between the two. As such, we've been trying to think of ways that we can use our company as a vehicle to bring these two communities closer together, with the ultimate goal of doing some good to this planet of ours. Well, we think we came up with something that you're gonna like...

Introducing Give A Shot: a website that connects photographers with environmental non-profits in need of visual content.
Introducing Give A Shot: a website that connects photographers with environmental non-profits in need of visual content.

We'll have plenty more to say about this in the future, but for now we're taking applications, both from photographers/videographers and from environmental non-profits. If you're interested, sign up here!

NEW KICKSTARTER PROJECTS WE LOVE

Over the past few months many of our friends have launched their own KS campaigns, and here are our favorites:

Moment 2.0: Beautiful lenses and battery cases for iPhone and Pixel.

We are firm believers that the most important camera ever made is the one we carry around in our pockets everywhere we go. Moment has come back to Kickstarter with their next-gen iPhone and Pixel lenses, along with some beautiful new cases.

Coalatree Trailhead Adventure Pant: Waterproof, packable, versatile pants for any adventure.

Intergalactic...SPACE PANTS! You know how much we like versatility. You also know how much we like adventures. Lastly, we have an undying affection for pantaloons. We can't resist getting these.

Arvin Goods: Socks, undies, and basics made sustainably with minimal waste.

We go through a lotta socks and unmentionables in our lifetimes...why not get some that were made responsibly? The folks at Arvin Goods have started their brand with zero-waste in mind from the get-go.

Love my tote! I filled out the survey already but just noticed something today, I don't love that the magnets for closing slide around. Sometimes they don't line up and I have to fiddle with them.

Hey folks, thanks to all of you who have filled out the survey thus far! We've got about 2000 responses, and we'd love to get even more. So, we're going to add a special coupon code to the end of the survey for $10 off your next peakdesign.com purchase. If you've already completed the survey, we'll shoot you an email with the coupon code. Thanks!

Hi there Jesse Lee, it looks like you have not been receiving our responses as other Backers are reporting via Kickstarter Private Messages, I personally responded on Sunday and posted the following message on the comments board (after your previous message)

"Adam Hicks (Peak Design Ambassador) 5 days ago
Message for Jesse Lee, please complete your Backerkit Survey obtained via the following link https://the-everyday-backpack-tote-and-sling.backerkit.com/backer/survey
Thanks, Adam (just in case you are not receiving our responses)"

Please complete your Backerkit survey and then email us on info@peakdesign.com, that way, your messages won't be going through Kickstarter and will hopefully be received.

Hi Jason and AB-Proved, we hear you on the Challenges of managing the Customer Support during the pressured times of the campaign.

Although additional staff have been hired and resources obtained, perhaps a little late for the fulfilment period of this campaign when competing with the holiday period. Peak Design are looking at improving the levels of Customer Support... watch this space.

    6. Jason Capp on

Filled out the survey. Hope it helps! Let me know if you have any questions about what I said.

And I agree with AB-Proved. The quality of your products are so high, but my personal experience with customer service was quite poor. If anything should be improved, it should be better customer care and improved responses to those with faulty products, missing items from orders, and other things. If that can be improved, Peak Design could truly be a dominating force in the industry.

Carolyn, Jen responded on the 3rd March to your question. If you did not receive the response, please email back in with your Shipping address to info@peakdesign.com it seems that part of your Reward was lost by the Shipping company.
      Thanks, Adam

I still do not have everything that I had ordered. In December you said it was coming, but it is now March and it has not arrived. I sent a message a week ago, but as yet have not had a response.

I just left comments for the 20L Backpack, the sling, and the field pouch. When can I expect my paycheck? :) Seriously, I was happy to take the time to give the reviews and will do the same for the Tote when it hits Amazon. Needless to say, I LOVE your product line. The quality, design, and function are off the chart amazing. Gotta say, the tote, which is the last product I bought is probably my favorite. The double zipped dropped sides....so great! The hidden backpack straps...amazing!
