The campaign is almost over so it's time for a final word.
First of all – thank you all for the support!
This campaign was full of emotions, hopes and insights. It was a remarkable experience for all of us. What's more important, we found a lot of new friends during the campaign!
We were unable to reach the goal, but we see a lot of interest for the project. There are hundreds of people who supported the game and this means a LOT to us. This means you do care about Eon Break. Thanks for being with us all this time. We highly appreciate your efforts and support.
The campaign is ending, however it's just a beginning. We promise to do our best to deliver Eon Break – we do believe that this game is worth to happen and we will fight till the very end to finish it even without the funding.

Is there anybody there who hasn't heard about Nikola Tesla? The greatest scientist of the 20th century and one of the most enigmatic persons who ever lived. He is associated with a countless amount of mysteries, from the Tunguska Meteor to the Philadelphia Experiment.
We are certain that you've encountered and used his inventions many times – from radio, to the remote control, the electric motor and many others. We want to show you some lesser known inventions of this mad genius. A Tesla gun that can burn enemies with electricity and pierce alien robots with a Death Ray? We've got that covered! A personal defense droid that can slow down time? Sure!

Build incredible devices – control time and transfer your mind to its past self, teleport and shift objects between realities, build defensive droids and tear apart enemies with the TEAR (Tesla Electric Assault Rifle). That's how scientists do their job!

Explore a huge open world – dense forests, Nazi war bases, mountains, underground facilities and an enormous crash site of the alien spaceship called Angel. The world is waiting to be explored!
Move / shoot / think – this is the main motto of the game. Eon Break is all about movement. Do it right and you'll dominate with style. Make a mistake and you'll have to use all the power of your mind, gun and droid to survive. Every room is designed to challenge either your reaction or your mind. Every ability can be used to move and fight or to solve puzzles. Will you be able to master all of them and solve the mystery of the Angel?
Special devices – apparatuses – will help you to survive in the most severe surroundings you can imagine. You can combine the abilities of various devices to explore distant places, defeat powerful enemies and look unbelievably awesome!
Master all the abilities and your enemies will tremble in fear! Well, not all of them, of course – shroomheads don't feel anything at all.
There are three major apparatuses that can be found and upgraded through the game. Each one provides unique abilities for exploration, combat and puzzle solving.
HALO Apparatus for Advanced Movement allows Tesla to use special movement abilities like double jump and wall grab. If you're wearing the HALO apparatus, you can be sure that no obstacle will stop you!
The special ability of the HALO apparatus is TELEPORT.
Based on the technology behind the Angel's engines, Teleport gives the ability to move forward within the blink of an eye. Spend some time looking for spare parts and upgrading HALO and you'll be able to use Teleport for combat, wall slides and instant access to the most distant places in the world!
TEAR – Tesla Electric Assault Rifle – is a classic Tesla Gun with some incredible additional modes.
Have you ever seen a game about Tesla without the Tesla Gun? Traditions shouldn't be violated!
Designed by Nikola Tesla, this transformable lightning rifle has several attack modes including the famous Death Ray. Hordes of mushroom troopers and huge bosses will all fall to its power!
The special ability of TEAR is a VOID attack mode.
In Void mode the gun tears space apart and creates a wormhole that will consume all nearby objects, including enemies. Consumed objects can even be returned back to our world (well, only the last version), making the gun an ultimate tool for carrying heavy crates and dangerous items.
LSD – Life Support Droid – is an autonomous machine that defends Tesla from all threats, including Third Reich soldiers and bad smells. LSD was created to support and protect the life of its owner. It can be upgraded with several expansion modules, such as a machine gun and a remote control. It can even transform into a mask that will protect you from contagious air and provide advanced vision.
CHRONOSPHERE is a special ability of the LSD. It allows it to slow down time in a limited area.
Initially created to support injured soldiers, in the right hands the Chronosphere can become a powerful weapon and indispensable tool for puzzle solving.
Beside three major apparatuses, Nikola Tesla will find a lot of minor ones that will help him on his journey: improve devices, fix broken mechanisms, increase parameters or even lock his time-space position and return his mind to that point later in the game.
When the idea of Eon Break was born, we were so excited that we created the first prototype within a week. It was ugly, unstable and with only one room, but it provided minimal control over time and space.
After five minutes with the prototype we already knew that this will be a unique and breathtaking Metroidvania experience – instead of "press X to remove ice block" skills, we have a range of awesome abilities to control time and space and each one can be used for exploration, combat and puzzle solving.
The first thing we focused on after the prototype was the hero. We imagined someone similar to Tony Stark, who is smart enough to create very complex devices, and bad-ass enough to use them in real combat.
We spent more than a year searching for the ideal candidate – there were all kinds of spies, aliens, special agents and robots. One day we discussed another idea about a spy with Nazis hunting for all these incredible devices that were being invented by Nikola Tesla. And suddenly it hit us like a bolt of lightning from a Tesla coil – the ideal hero was around all the time, we just didn't noticed him!
A genius scientist with astonishingly crazy ideas that actually work. One of the most mysterious persons in history. He is the real Tony Stark of the 20th century.
Eon Break tells a new story of his life and his death. The game starts on January 7, 1943 – the day that Nikola Tesla died.
What happened after that and how he is connected to the events of the alternative WWII universe is up for players to discover.
We felt that with such an intriguing hero and a promising setting under our belt, we are bound to create a fascinating story about his adventures. However, we wanted to avoid any unnecessary interruptions in such a dynamic game, so we turned the entire world into a storyboard!
Every room, every glade, every dungeon in the game tells part of the story. Objects and enemies are hints of previous events, and location design fills gaps in the plot, so you don't have to watch the story, you can live it!
One of the core aspects of every game is visual design. We spent half a year until we finally found a style that really fit the game (and it took us tons of time to create – every single object is hand-drawn).
The game takes place in 1943 – one of the darkest years in the history of mankind, so we started with quite gloomy visuals. After several months of development we realized that a dark and serious style just doesn't fit such a crazy story with all these technologies, aliens and walking mushrooms. So we started everything from the scratch, looking for a distinctive visual style that will really match the game.
The answer was quite obvious! One day we re-watched Carpenter's The Thing and realized that all these awesome sci-fi movies that inspired the game are from the 1980’s. We decided to mix the neon 80’s with the dieselpunk 40’s and we think that the result is absolutely awesome. Just take a look at the pictures below!
What is a great adventure without great challenges? Nikola Tesla will face all the power of the Third Reich. But that's only the tip of the iceberg – the real enemy is much more dangerous and cares much less for the future of our world.
The game takes place in a secret Nazi lab that is built around a crashed alien spaceship. The hero will fight not only soldiers of the Third Reich, but also all kinds of genetic experiments – various shroomheads – and alien technologies.
There is a wide variety of enemies in the game and each one is unique both visually and in terms of behavior. You'll have to find their weak spots in order to defeat 'em and survive.
Insidious and unstoppable, the bosses of Eon Break will test the limits of your abilities. You'll meet both huge classic machines of destruction (right from the old-school games we all love) and unique creatures that require unconventional approaches to defeat them (like a boss that constantly rewinds time when he receives damage).
But that's not a showstopper for a real hero. Charge the TEAR, start the HALO, activate your LSD and let's venture into the unknown!
It was the greatest discovery in human history!
When we first saw the Angel – a giant alien spaceship that crashed in the Bavarian Alps – we thought that this discovery will change everything. It definitely did...
Each millimeter of the Angel was a technological miracle. Whoever built it was far more advanced than humans are. Strangely enough, there were no survivors, no corpses, nobody at all on board and our hope for first contact faded quickly. However, despite severe damage, there was a lot of material to study.
One of the most interesting discoveries were the Wings of the Angel – the ship's engines. It seemed that they can move the ship almost instantly between very distant points in the universe.
We created a means to hold these monsters inside our labs, but we missed the birth of a monster outside of them. While we were busy with our research, the Third Reich began to consume whole countries.
We tried to save the most important discoveries and destroy the rest to protect the world from the horrors of the Angel. The plan was to overpower the working Wing of the Angel to cause its self-destruction.
Unfortunately, the Nazis arrived earlier then we expected.
With all the miracles of the Angel under their control, the Nazis become an unstoppable power!
The last capital in Europe surrendered in 1941. In 1942, Beijing – the final pocket of resistance in Asia – was turned to ashes. At the beginning of 1943, the Third Reich landed troops in the US.
It seemed that the world as we knew it was over – now nothing could stop the inventions that we've created.
Helplessly, we watched the Nazis ruin and burn entire countries. We tried to fight the consequences of our actions, and one by one we perished...unable to change anything.
But when you can't change the consequences, you've got to change the reason! It may seem impossible to change the past, but not for those who saw impossible things on the Angel...

Eon Break is being developed by Glad Rock studio in Minsk. Our team consists of industry veterans (our combined experience is almost 50 years!) who share a love for true hardcore games.

Risks and challenges
Creating a game is a challenging task. It is nearly impossible to predict everything that can get in your way. But we are an experienced team that has released more than 15 games prior to Eon Break. Moreover, this game has been in development for two years and most of the risky spots have been passed long ago. Now we just need your help to finish the game with the best possible quality.
However, one risk is still on the table. We did our best to estimate the project based upon our previous experience and we strongly believe that this is a realistic estimate. But we value quality above all else and we want to be 100% sure that you'll like the game when we release it. So we promise to shift the release date only if it's necessary for the good of the game. We will constantly share our progress and keep you updated on all changes in the schedule. Moreover, we are going to release an Early Access version ASAP so you'll be able to take your piece of cake sooner rather than later and share your extremely valuable feedback with us.
