The Field Guide to Human Personalities, while it has psychological elements, is a book focused on personal development. It describes personalities that we all embody and invoke. Some of these personalities our beneficial to us, while others can be harmful.
The book has a warm feel to it. It's encouraging and slightly confrontational. While it's a new-thought or new-age style book, it has less hyperbole and more actionable insights. It's not a workbook although the Field Guide's companion workbook is almost done!
At the beginning of the The Field Guide, I suggest ways to use the book to help move past aspects of the Self that are harmful or stuck.
The Field Guide to Human Personalities is a guide that can inspire a deep letting go and transformation. It's also fun to use the beautiful illustrations to reflect on who we are.
