Storyfab reinvents video storytelling by giving you all the tools to create short films using virtual actors, decors and special effects and share them with everyone. With Storyfab, the entire world is your stage; you'll only need some imagination and your phone. You can also use Storyfab to make video greeting cards and postcards or simply send a quick message to your friends!

 

We need your help to make Storyfab a limitless storytelling app. For that, the key is to develop continuously new ressources; what we call Universes Packs. We are crowdfunding 20'000$ to develop 4 new Universes Pakcs; each pack will add new actors, actions they can do, moods, objects they can interact with, decors, special effects and music. By pledging our Unlimited edition you’ll get a lifetime access to all the resources that will be created for Storyfab (each additional Universes pack will be 5$ when the app is publicly available).

We've been working on a Beta version for the last 6 months and it's nearly ready for prime time: all features described are already developed and our Kickstarter video was filmed using the current version of the app. Our backers will be the first to access it and we hope to spend the next year improving every aspect of Storyfab, thanks to your feedback.

 

We will use the crowdfunded money from Kickstarter to create two new Universes Packs. Each pack will be composed of assets to be used in Storyfab around a specific theme and will give you access to:

• New moodies templates and customizations: new hair styles, clothing and accessories.
• New actions for the moodies: new emotions, new ways of walking and running, new interactions with objects and other moodies and other actions.
• New decors, objects, visual effect, music and filters to customize a scene.

If we exceed our 20'000$ goal, we will be able to develop even more Universes Packs.

 We have used the lean methodology since the beginning of the project; this means that we iterate a lot on the product based on how our user reacts to what we’ve implemented. We are just starting reinventing storytelling; Kickstarter is our first step and we count on you to give us as much feedback as possible.

Skype call or personal appointment: join us through Skype or visit our office (we won''t pay for travel expenses... :D ) and participate to the product management.

Pick a flat surface and make it a movie studio; it can be a magazine, a newspaper or even a keyboard. We then use this object as a reference between our virtual world and your environment. The experience is magical as you see your actors and decors appear in the middle of your working desk; add some desk plants and you’ll get an impenetrable forest to film your remake of your favourite adventure movie.

Then, it’s time to customize your actors, or as we like to call them, the Moodies. Our artists spent countless hours creating a great experience where you can customize them entirely according to what you need for your movie. Create your friend’s avatars or your favourite hero, whatever you need for your story!

You can even choose their moods: happy, sad, angry, shy, fearful and even “undead”. You decide if your Moodie would need some anger management classes or not!

If you need quick results or if customizing is not your forte, choose a pre-made Moodie from our library. There, you will also find everything to make your scenario more appealing and complete, from decor, special effects to music.

A great movie is all about its actors, right? The Moodies spent their life hidden from our sight, mimicking us. Storyfab is finally their chance to become movie stars. Our app lets you direct them as any real actors : make them run, use objects, interact with each other and more.

Once you’re finished prepping your scene, click record and voilà! You're filming your first shot - cut - adjust the camera angle - start a new shot; we made editing very simple.
