You do as the Scorpions have before you!
It's absolutely time for an update!
Let's answer the most pressing question first: Where are my books?!?!?!
If you wanted to pick up your books at Gen Con, you've already got them! Go you!
If you're an international backer and you paid your shipping before 08/14/17 your books have shipped (and I've heard that many of them have already arrived)!
If you're an international backer and you paid your shipping after 08/14/17 I got buried by Gen Con and I they haven't gone out yet. They'll be going out next week though!
If you're here in the States and you didn't want your book(s) signed, they should be going out next week as well. I say "should" because I need to send a payment to the warehouse that's going to be shipping them out, so as soon as they receive my check the books will go out. This was my bad, as I thought I'd get an invoice to set up my "shipping account" first and then I'd send the check.... but I needed to send the check first. Sorry for that delay!!
If you're here in the States and you said in your survey that you DO want your books signed there is a bit of a delay. I've got 15 boxes of books that need to be signed by 4 different people located in 2 different cities here in Texas. Not everyone has been able to make it down to San Antonio to sign, and it's looking like they may not be able to make it down here 'till the early part of September. We were going to throw the boxes into the back of a pickup (with ample padding of course!) and take them up to Austin for the missing signatures, but then this hurricane blew in and well... I figured it'd be best to keep the books safe and dry instead of wet but signed. I'll let you all know as soon as all the books have been signed and we'll get them shipped out as immediately as possible.
On the topic of hurricanes... Gen Con 50 rocked like one!
We took 50 copies of The Dark of Hot Springs Island and 50 copies of A Field Guide to Hot Springs Island and SOLD OUT!!!!!!!
We also submitted a few copies to the ENnies to try and score a few awards next year.
Donnie ran 6 sold out, action packed games on Hot Springs Island, and we received phenomenal positive feedback the whole time we were there.
Thanks to all of you for helping make this possible. It's been a hell of a ride so far, and in many ways it's still only just begun. <3
