About this project
This is our second fundraiser for this film. We are asking for funds again, because now we have photos, videos, and more descriptions for people to see of what we have filmed so far! Thank you!
City of Hope, Alessandro's first film series, is about a young girl, Amber Berks (Based of a true story), who comes to America as a child with her parents. Both of her parents died in a tragic accident, leaving Amber independent.
City of Hope does not only tell Amber's story, but also spreads the awareness of how women and children are put into the trafficking business (photo studios, laundry cleaners, escort service, nail salons, massage parlors, schools, dorms, etc.).
Throughout the series, Amber deals with different threats, pimps, men, drugs, persuasion. It is up to the law enforcement to help people like Amber, women and children who have been in this trade their whole lives.
Our story also follows:
1. The kingpin; His operations and how he works
2. NYPD officer Sanchez: Sister was kidnapped by the kingpin, and looks for a way to get her back
3. 2 FBI agents who track down the trafficking circles on the east coast.
City of Hope is the most emotional, strong, inspirational film I have taken on. I did not intend this to be only entertaining. The purpose was to be both entertaining and educational, in the standpoint that sex trafficking happens all around us, even if we can't see it.
Right now, we need funds to make this possible! Feeding the actors, liability insurance, equipment use, transportation, and props. For those who want to help this cause, this disgusting trafficking circle, please help.

Risks and challenges
Writing has always been a weak part of me. I want this film to bring emotions: Sad, thrill, anger, happy, etc.
Some challenges we are already facing include: locations, permits, liability insurance.
Some scenes we haven't shot yet because locations require permits, which require insurance (Slippery Slope.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
