We believe that if it ain’t broke you shouldn’t fix it. So, we’re going to be leaving the game as intact as possible from the 2nd edition. The artwork will remain the same on the box, instruction manual and game board.
We are looking to make a few tweaks. There are going to be a few rule clarifications to make sure that the designers original intent comes across as clearly as possible, but no changes to the rules.
We are also going to replace the brown player color with natural wood. There have been some complaints that the brown and purple player colors look too similar in many lighting situations. So, brown is out and the problem is solved!
The cardboard is going to be a little thicker than the 2nd edition so the game will have a bit of a component upgrade there, and everything will remain linen embossed for a really nice texture to the components.
The stretch rewards will be where the biggest upgrades happen. If the game does well enough we’ll be able to add or upgrade some of the components in the game to give the game a little extra chrome to help set the mood for slandering and backstabbing.
