An episodic food themed web series comedy, Pairings will be How I Met Your Mother meets the 40 Year Old Virgin meets Jamie Oliver,
Pairings is an episodic web series comedy in the vein of such food films as Ratatouille, Julie & Julia, or even Eat, Drink, Man, Woman.
The show centers around a group of friends who are foodies. Alan Wallace is a food geek who is awkward with women. His family and friends convince him that cooking is sexy and that he shouldn't hide it from the women he dates. Along the way he discovers that the way to woman's heart is through her stomach.
The script for the first season is completed and consists of seven episodes averaging eight minutes long each. We plan to release the episodes in late fall 2012.
Cooks are Sexier
America's fascination with food is at an all time high these days. There are two channels completely devoted to cooking, and Top Chef is one of the most popular shows on television. We believe that this is the perfect atmosphere to create a fictional series with food as the star. With every episode of Pairings, we will be bringing you the recipes for all the food featured in that week's episode!

Crowdfunding, such as Kickstarter, and Web Series are a match made in heaven. With more and more people getting more of their entertainment from web content and not from traditional television, Kickstarter gives viewers power they never had before: they can have direct influence on which shows get made and continue to be produced. With crowdfunding we can say goodbye to the days when shows like Freaks and Geeks and Sports Night get cancelled by a studio exec far too early.
Crowdfunding allows a great number of people to donate comfortable amounts to projects they want to see funded. If we have 400 people donate at a $20 level, we'll have reached our goal of $8,000!
Who we Are
We are Jodie Younse and Ed Robinson, the executive producers of Pairings. Jodie is a Los Angeles based Product & Food Photographer with a degree in Cinema from San Francisco State University. Ed is a Los Angeles Food Stylist and Chef. He has styled for such shows as Fed Up!, a cooking show starring Andrea Beaman and fictional shows such as the upcoming I Will Love and Alice and the Monster. He's also fed the cast and crew of many web series and independent films. His college degree was in Drama, however, and has starred in many projects in both L.A and the San Francisco Bay Area. Pairings is the perfect marriage of his dual life.
Jodie and Ed also run the weekly food blog 5iveDollarFeasts.com about cooking restaurant quality food at home on a budget.
Joining them will be some web series veterans. We are lucky to have part of the team that brought you GOLD and Night of the Zombie King. Director Rick Robinson is joining us and we welcome Justin Waggle as our Line Producer.

What the Money Is For
Locations, equipment rentals, and expertise staff all cost money. While we want to make Pairings on a very low budget, we still need a budget to make quality entertainment. Please donate what you can. Also, whether you donate or not, please pass it along to your family and friends. The more people who read these words, the more chance we have of reaching our goal.
Thank you for you donation!
Jodie and I will truly be touched and honored by everyone who trusts us with their hard earned money. We will use it wisely!
