She Moved Through The Fair
She Moved Through The Fair is an exciting new film currently in pre-production, & we want you to join us in bringing it to life.
She Moved Through The Fair is an exciting film project, which we are planning to film this summer and complete post-production shortly after.
The initial work on the script started eighteen months ago, and work on various aspects of the project have been undertaken over this period. It is currently in pre-production, with the final stages being put together by a committed and enthusiastic cast and crew with a wealth of collective experience.
We would like you to join us in bringing this project to its conclusion; become a sponsor and help to produce an independent, feature-length film that will be submitted to films festivals in the UK and abroad. With your help, we plan to begin filming in July, with post-production beginning in September.

In an unknown location at an undefined time and date, a young woman called Alice awakes into a troubling scenario: nothing is familiar, and she remembers nothing except her name.
Exploring the unfamiliar world around her, she finds herself invisible to all but two people: the eccentric and charismatic Dawn, and Cass, who is also seeking answers about her past. Can she trust either of them? Alice is forced to play a dark and dangerous game, one that becomes ever more bizarre, and the ‘prize’ is the nature of life itself.
Here, reality walks hand in hand with madness, and Alice discovers that she must embrace both worlds.
THE KEY PLAYERS
ALICE: We witness the majority of the film from Alice’s perspective. She is trying to uncover the truth about her past and keep her sanity in a world that defies everything she considers to be ‘normal’. But how can Alice define normal if she cannot remember where she has come from?
CASS: A headstrong and uncompromising young woman, supposedly in a position to identify with Alice’s plight. Cass appears to act on gut instinct instead of rational thinking, but perhaps she knows more than even she is fully aware of.
DAWN: Eccentric, playful and charming, Dawn is a free spirit who appears to understand the world that Alice finds herself in. However, her impish personality hints at a darker, malevolent streak, and Alice begins to suspect that Dawn may not be as trustworthy and innocent as she initially appears.

The ultimate goal of this project is to complete a film which is both creative, original and of quality.
It is proposed to enter She Moved Through The Fair into film festivals, both in the UK and abroad. Currently research is being undertaken to assess the most appropriate festivals.
It is our intention to make the film available digitally via our website for purchase, for streaming and download.
All of the cast and crew involved in this production have experience in media and the creative arts, and are passionate about creating an original and thought-provoking piece of independent cinema. This will be both a demanding and exciting process, proving that it does not require a significant budget and large studios supported by complex infrastructure to make a compelling film.
Above is a showreel of some of Jonny's work, both as a cameraman and editor. Jonny's role as Associate Producer reflects his technical expertise and knowledge of the filming and editing process.
Owen has a background in writing and composition, and has worked with Jonny on projects before, such as Owen's most recent single, 'Best At Being Me' (below). Gordon is a published author and authority on some of the themes that the film explores; his work as Creative Consultant involves keeping a keen eye on the creative process.

Although She Moved Through The Fair is set in an undisclosed location, the film will be shot exclusively in Bristol, in the South-West of England, and the surrounding region. Bristol is a vibrant and beautiful city, renowned as a creative centre for the arts, from media to music. It provides numerous locations that suit the script, and the style & mood of the film.
When shooting commences, we will be adding pictures of the locations used in She Moved Through The Fair on this page, showing how they appear in the film.
Filming is scheduled to take place during July and August this year. The principal filming should take 4-5 weeks, working quite intensively. Whilst this may sound like a short period of time, by working in several recurring locations, as well as the geographic advantage of working within a single city, we will be able to keep to schedule.
The film is not set during a specific season.
Of course, British weather is famously temperamental, even during the summer, but much of the film takes place indoors. This means that it should not be hindered by poor weather conditions.
Within the schedule, room will be left for any shots that may need reshooting upon review.
Much of the action takes place during the daytime, although there are several scenes that require evening shooting times.
Post-production does not begin as soon as filming has ended; the film’s creation is an on-going process, with some scenes being edited simultaneously with shooting of new scenes. This allows for review of scenes early on in the process and allows the film to develop organically.
Careful planning and including space for overtime work will help to keep post-production as efficient and as swift as possible, without compromising the quality or integrity of the project.
Risks and challenges
As with every project, there are some potential challenges that could appear during the production and post-production of this film; however, we feel that we have prepared for them.
We have allowed plenty of time for shooting and editing, putting together a realistic schedule that includes 'float space' should the project be delayed or run behind the proposed timescale.
We want everybody who donates to see what their contribution has gone towards; apart from the rewards offered, we will have a very active social media presence and keep you updated on the film's progress. You can expect photos, videos, behind-the-scenes information, and we will do our best to be as transparent as possible and keep everybody in the loop.
You can follow us on Twitter, or become a fan on Facebook, or check our blog on our website.
We can't wait to welcome you to our community, and hope that you will enjoy the experience of developing an independent feature-length film as much as we do!
