There is no player elimination.
If you are shot, you exit the dream to join the Rekall team. Outside of the dream, it’s a whole new ballgame.
The Rekall team has a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SET OF ACTIONS that they can use to influence the dream by drawing alliances into question and manipulating the guns of dreaming players. They also have a VERY DIFFERENT WINNING CONDITION than the dreaming players -- they win if they are able to get all of the Turbinium away from those still in the dream.
Turbinium adds another layer of strategy.
When you aim your gun at a player, you get to TAKE ALL THEIR TURBINIUM, which you can use to buy Plot cards. This means that you aim at people you’re not even planning to shoot. Likewise, when someone aims at you, you question their motives.
Everyone in the dream has a gun. All the time.
You can’t stop your enemies from shooting the opposing leader by snatching the last gun. This results in a HIGHER THREAT LEVEL and MORE TABLE TALK about how people are using their guns and why.
