Have a question?
@Stephen: It sounds like you're as excited as we are about getting this thing out there! It's still in manufacturing so we don't have anything new to share. We haven't been informed of any further delays so it appears to be going smoothly.
It’s been a few weeks, any updates? Thanks!
It looks amazing! I can't wait!!!
Cool. I am galad to hear that things are progressing. It's so exciting.
@Chris: It's moving along and we're still ahead of the original schedule but we're still in the manufacturing phase. We tried to send an update this morning but we weren't able to get images to upload and what's an update without images, right? We'll get that sent out soon.
So how goes production? Any new information?
Thanks for the work @kirkstarter - I preordered a game on CSI and will probably not do it again as I'm waiting for it before the other games in my order could ship. If anyone did the same with CSI's barker's row preorder through them, any other games they added in for free shipping will be held up awhile.
@Creator - thanks for chiming in. I can't wait to give this one a go. I think I'll let the good folks at CSI know they should change the expected date so as not to annoy their customers.
@Kirkster: I wish! Yeah, it's still in manufacturing so it definitely won't be ready to start selling in 11 days! :) You all will be the first to get your hands on it too.
I saw Barker's Row on pre-sale at Cool Stuff ($28.99) and it shows an expected arrival date of October 15. As they just listed it today I can only assume that they got some bad info on the release as it isn't even finished manufacturing in China yet!
All the China manufacturing plants are shut down this week for National Day but we're hoping to have a juicy update for you soon after they return! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Day_of_the_People%27s_Republic_of_China
@Jason: Ha! We're trying to get to the bottom of what the hold up is, but this is as at least part of the problem: https://www.8020sourcing.com/china-epa-crackdown-shuts-down-tens-of-thousands-of-factories-with-no-end-in-sight/
I bet it's those damn clips ain't it!? Them sonsabitches
Cool thanks for the info
@Steve: There have been a few delays with manufacturing that we're trying to get an understanding of but we're still ahead of schedule. We'll send an update before too long when we've gotten an estimated manufacturing completion date. That will really help us estimate the rest of the schedule.
Getting it in your hands before the end of the year is looking less likely but it's still possible. For now, we're keeping the pledge manager open in case anyone needs to update their address or modify their pledge.
Any new news or updates
We also can't wait to get this one out! Steven is already tinkering with an expansion too. =)
Can't wait for you to get this one out so you can work on an expansion to add more players!
It all looks amazing. Well done team!! Really happy to have been able to back this project, and looking forward to playing it!
@Jason: Ha! We'll all remember back to the great tower marker debate of '17. Rest assured, the final markers fit beautifully. We don't have one in each color but we have a model of one in white and it fits like a glove. We think you'll be quite happy with them.
Thanks to everyone who gave us feedback on them during the campaign!
The whole prototype looks really good (cept dem clips)!! But I won't say anything about them clips... Still so funny remembering back to the great marker debate of '17, those were good days.
I Wasn't gonna bring up those wooden stands for a bit either, good to know those aren't happening now. I'd definitely be interested in the future though. Thanks again guys!!
@Darren: Thanks for seeking us out at Gen Con!
Had a great 4 player demo. Was a lot of fun.
If anyone is at Gen Con, we have a copy of Barker's Row equipped with some manufacturing samples at booth #2661! We'll send pictures of some carnival action in the next update!
@Jason: One of each design will be in your add-on meeple pack, so 13 total.
Wow that's epic! I didn't realize we were getting so many meeps. So how many are in the extra bag I bought? Not an additional 52 yea??
@John: Yep, everyone will be getting 52 meeples.
So are we getting 52 meeples instead of the 48 so that all 4 players can have 13 unique meeples? If not, how will that be broken up?
@BoardGameRevolution: The mat comes with the Deluxe version (Ringmaster reward level) or it can be added on to the Standard version (Barker reward level) through the pledge manager.
Does the midway mat not come with the game?
@Wanghis Khan: It's exciting that you get to play New Salem for the first time! Don't underestimate those witches...
@Shane - you're doing the lord's work mate. Thanks for the idea, I found it cheap on a similar site. I'll keep that site in mind, too.
@Azrael: Well, I suppose it is. We mentioned it in last week's update and we'll mention it in the next one as well. And probably the one after that too. ;)
Interesting. One would assume the pledge manager would be introduced with an update..is it because you would prefer to present a larger update with more information?
@Creator thanks a rough idea helps with planning funds
@Finofashark: That'll depend on how long manufacturing takes but at least another month. We'll give you a warning in an update before we close it.
@Creator when does the pledge manager close? Can't see anything in any update or FAQ.
@wanghis, new salem on sale at snakes and lattes in Toronto, online ordering/shipping.
@Steve: Oh no! Sorry it's not working. :( We heard from one other backer with the same issue and PledgeManager suggested they either try a different browser or try it in their browser's "incognito" mode. Would you be able to try that and see of it works? If not, together we can follow-up with PledgeManager so they can help troubleshoot it.
Pledge manager not accepting my CC and I tried it a 3rd time will a rep from my CC on the phone and he stated nothing trying to request payment and yet it came up "Something has gone wrong with your payment.
Your card was declined. Please check your card information and try again." My end is just fine.
I'm down for an extra set of meeples! Just because they're gorgeous! Luckily I could go back and unlock my order to add them! Now I just have to wait for the game..... (has it shipped yet??)
@Dorte: Yeah, shipping is per item since most fulfillment companies will charge between $1-$4 USD to "pick" and "pack" each additional item. But to help with this, we priced them very low. Often times you'll find meeples for about $1 USD/meeple but here, even the meeples plus shipping would be much less than that.
@Wanghis: I'm glad you are interested in our other titles too! The logistics would be really expensive and difficult to offer more games since we're using multiple fulfillment centers all over the world and we usually just offer new games on Kickstarter so that retailers can handle selling past titles. Unfortunately, you'll find that New Salem is hard to get a hold of since it has been out of stock most places for a while, but we're working on an expansion that will come out on Kickstarter early next year and will allow you to get the base game and expansion so keep an eye out for that.
I was wondering, the meeples are 7 $ and then there is shipping, is this because it's send separately?
If I buy 2 packs I have to pay double shipping etc, shouldn't it be less or at some point a max shipping
I was wondering if you'd add any other games to your pledge manager. I'm fairly new to backing games and a time or two some companies have allowed you to add older games to the pledge. Is that on a case by case basis? (Hoping for New Salem, but I can try to hunt it down again or grab it next time I spot it, too).
@Joshua: We had some new meeple designs achieved as stretch goals and there are enough meeples in the base game to play but you can add on a meeple pack if you'd like more meeples for other games.
Are the meeples an included stretch goal? or an add-on in the PM?
