So that was the biggest waste of 100 bucks I have ever done lol.

    4. BryanS on December 5

@Heavyoak, I doubt there are any replacements, warranty or otherwise, at this point.

    5. Heavyoak on December 4

Never received anything I paid for (limited edition wood grain OUYA, four matching controllers and Canadian shipping). Failed, flaming heap of trash. . .

    7. Daniel Helmick on August 31

I turned my OUYA into a dedicated emulation box and it works well. Honestly I was just looking for something to do with it, but its size makes it a good pick-up-and-go game box for late night Gauntlet II or Secret of Mana sessions with the guys.

If any of you backed "WEDG: the personal cloud you've been waiting for" on Indiegogo:
Please log into your Indiegogo account and select contact us. I don't care what you pick, but please:

Let Indiegogo know about the crap Wedg pulled with the campaign.
Let Indiegogo know how much money you lost on this campaign.
Let Indiegogo know if you've tried to contact Wedg or any associated party (and the result.)
Let Indiegogo know that Wedg isn't talking.
Let Indiegogo know that Wedg has pretty much vanished from the internet.

Apparently, the campaign is under review. The more people scream about this, the quicker we get it resolved.

I'm posting here because I know how people who back tech projects tend to back others, and if there's a chance you've backed Wedg, now is the time to yell.

I'm glad someone mentioned the controllers. I forgot I had ouya controllers. I've been looking for a controller for my phone and it works perfectly.

A fart? More like an unexpected shart after a bean burrito binge. Four years later and I STILL haven't received any of the items I pledged for. Disgraceful. Disgusting. Deplorable.

I guess I should download what I want one last time - hopefully my store credit is still there.

    15. Nicholas Caito on May 17, 2016

This page makes me so sad. Over $8 Million from Backers. $25 Million from NVidia. Unknown amount of money from other investors. They took the money and ran. Ouya is now a dead platform. :(

    16. Michael Abi Daoud on May 15, 2016

People are having issues with their console? I'm sorry to hear that. I bought mine for a glorified arcade console emulator. Money well spent for me anyways. I just heard Ouya got bought by Razor. If you're having issues try emailing or calling Razor directly.

So I emailed them and they've not responded. Since I never wrote any software for the ouya because eff them. People who paid the extra $300 for support aren't real developers. And they're going to focus on garage devs... by you know.. working with SE to get FF on there in lieu of releasing an sdk. Anyway, some poor sap wants to write for this hockey puck (mine's not worked for months, my controllers for over a year), I'd like to pass on my "Promote in the Market" credit to him. Am I able to do that?

Did anyone else get the email from Razer about the new Forge console with the discount code?

All this boils down to Julie and her lying. She lied to each and everyone she saw, including the press. This special human went so far as to almost get arrested, but the funny thing is that she verbally attacked any nay sayer to Ouya. I questioned why do this when the average smart phone (at the time before launch) has over double the power? I was ridiculed, belittled, verbally berated and more.... You know what though? I was right.

Thankfully I got my refund back, but Julie has become the laughing stock of the industry. The saying goes if you want to alienate your customers, lie to the public and completely tank your company and lose all your investor's money, hire Julie.

Worst pledge I ever made. What a disappointment. If only it had lived up to the hype. At least I have a bluetooth controller and an expensive paperweight.

    24. Matt Wiseman
      on February 2, 2016

So.. my Ouya hasn't worked for qutie some time. The controllers won't sync up. I got the dev release (Paid hundreds more for a pre-release w/ SDK then told that real developers don't need a sdk.. thanks for that). Since Ouya's offices are about 10min from where I'm sitting right now.. am I just double f***ed then? (I say double f***ed as I'm still single f***ed from her calling me not a real developer for wanting the sdk she charged me $400+ for)

    27. Roberto Calderon on November 27, 2015

well, at least i donated a Dollar.

Jesus, what a waste of fucking money.

    29. SC0URG3
      on November 10, 2015

I mean, on the bright side of all this, at least I can use the controller via bluetooth with my phone, so it has that going for it...which is nice...right?...nah, not even. I tried mapping the buttons for emulators, and it's all messed up. It thinks up on the D-pad is the L2 button, the left analogue stick is also L2, no matter which way you push it, etc. Everything about this has been horrible. Maybe Razer can make something of it, but it'll be too little, too late.

I don't understand the hate here. The campaign was successful, I got the console about the same time as it hit stores, had a lot of fun with four controllers and bombsquad, not to mention endless amounts of NES/SNES games in multiplayer.
The console was cheap, small, and did mostly what it promised.
Now, I have sold mine now after these years, but it was well worth the money!

haven't seen bad reviews for the shield console, so i wouldnt blame android
i blame julie, mostly, with her false promises

"Guarantee we will have one available for you, before it gets to stores"
nope, mine wasn't even shipped yet and it had already hit stores

      "free to play"
then why ask for credit card info right away

      "i'm pissed" she said
      we were more pissed

      "i will make this right"

hope she never works in the sector again

    34. Paul Arista on August 4, 2015

I wish I hadn't invested money into this console because it had a bad user interface, a horrible store and there really wasn't any games that were system sellers and the fact that it ran off of android was also a bad thing because that meant that the console was virtually inferior to the ps4, xbox one, and wii u. Ouya could have had a better chance if it was as powerful as its competitors and if it had a user interface that was actually good. Also so much for Minecraft coming to Ouya lol.

    35. Char Aznable on August 3, 2015

HAHAHHAHA Razer is buying OUYA and Julie is out! LMAO this is hilarious! Not only did OUYA scam out indie developers but now this failed platform is going to be absorbed as essentially killed off! Yup how does it feel Julie to be outed from your own company?!?!? Hahahaha

    37. xDUMPWEEDx on June 20, 2015

I can appreciate the ambition of this project..but ultimately OUYA was a colossal failure.

    38. Paul Arista on June 20, 2015

If their is any shenmue fans here we are getting a new sequel after the 14 year wait and I really want people to help back the project so here is the link

    39. hoofhearted4 on June 15, 2015

I pledged $25 for support. So the fact that they failed, while sad, had no impact on me what so ever. I'm sad they failed, obviously I would have loved to see them be successful but they dropped the ball hard on getting backers their stuff. Had they shipped everything out in a timely manner I bet they would have done better and been well received. But they didn't. They messed up hard and now who is OUYA?

This company is the joke of the gaming industry. I warned ppl ahead of time yet they gave me #%*^ for it and look at it now. When you treat ppl like they owe you something because you have your head so far up your fat @$$ then you have a superiority complex that needs serious treatment. OUYA is dead. Finally.

God did this thing ever turn out to be a failure. You guys dropped the ball every single time it was handed off to you. I can't remember ever dealing with a business that was just so incompetent on every level. Usually companies like that go out of business in just a few years

Oh wait. That's exactly what's happening. Good. You guys failed. Good riddance.

I'm pretty sure my OUYA has bricked it self. I've left it alone for a few months, come back to play broken age, and all I see if the tiny U and darkness. Guess I'm going to have to try those ridiculous procedures to boot into recovery mode.

      I'm so happy:
      doesn't get the device,
mailed them and they said that the special device isn't there and they don't produce new ones,
because of that i get my money back via paypal...
