New Art, New Music!
Wow, it’s the end of January already! The team took a well-earned break over the holidays and now that we’ve been settled back at the drawing boards, keyboards and score sheets for a few weeks, we have some awesome new stuff to share!
Have a look at our new box art and updated title! The game will be called Jennifer Wilde: Unlikely Revolutionaries going forward. Hopefully the title and art combination share a little hint of what to expect in our globe-trotting adventure.
We’re very happy to be listening right now to the wonderful Jennifer Wilde Soundtrack! If you could give your warmest welcome to our soundtrack composer; Danny Hynds!
Danny Hynds is an L.A.-based composer, sound artist, filmmaker, animator, fabricator, and installation artist. His work has been shown in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Manchester, Bucheon, Holland, and Oslo. He’s even made a few indie games himself, and his jazzy atmospheric work made him the perfect addition to the team.
He brings along with him a live studio band, and the performances of his gorgeous 1920’s noir themes were absolutely stunning.
We wanted to share some of what Danny has made, and the track below showcases a solo saxophone rendition of Jennifer’s Father’s Theme. To me, it perfectly captures the sadness and torment Jennifer feels after losing her father, and tell me it doesn’t bring a tear to your eye.
I’m hoping after hearing this track you’ll be eagerly awaiting not only the game, but the full soundtrack too. As an early/bonus reward, we’re going to send all our backers an MP3 of the track above. Keep an eye on your emails this week.
We’ll leave you with a few photos of the recording session. Let us now what you think in the comments below!
Let us know what you think of the new art, title and music!
