And Episode 1!
Wow! Those were great, but I'm the kind of person who wants a little more information.
Thank you! That's so nice. What are your questions?
So...what is OTP about?
Sheila is a newly single mom in the middle of a nasty divorce; Jeremy is a teenage child actor who is ready to move on from show business and his manager...who happens to be his mother.
This unlikely pairing has one thing in common...they love fan fiction, specifically Hobbit fan fiction.
And the smuttier the better.
When Sheila needs help paying the rent and Jeremy needs a new place to live, moving in together seems like the logical solution. They'll be able to escape their real-life issues, plus have loads of time to work on winning the “Hobbit for All Seasons” online writing competition.
What does One True Pairing mean?
It's a fan fiction term that refers to your favorite combination of characters in a fandom.

Interesting. WHY was this created?
A few words from OTP Creator, Laura Jordan:
Two years ago I fell down the rabbit hole of Hobbit fan-fiction and have barely come up for air.
While I tried my hand at writing a bit of fan fiction (which was an epic fail), I soon realized that my talent lay in a different direction. Namely, creating a world that showcased people who loved fan fiction in an honest and respectful light.
And so OTP: One True Pairing was born. I brought up the idea with my dear friend, Sean Barrett, whom I met while starring as Clarice in Silence! The Musical! Off-Broadway. He immediately showed interest and came on to direct the series and it was he who brought on Kim Schlechta, who insisted on producing this puppy after reading an early draft of the script.
The creative team and crew were set, but what about the cast? Who was to play Jeremy opposite my Shelia? The chemistry between this actor and myself had to be spot on. Since my days of naturally befriending actors who could play a nineteen year-old boy seemed to have limited themselves, we held auditions in early summer of 2014.
That’s when we found him. Peter Graham. We’ve been a little in love ever since. Every other actor in OTP is a friend of mine.
And finally - YOU. Whoever you are reading this. Thank you. This definitely would be nothing without your support. It’s been a labor of love for all of us, beginning to end, and we all hope you love it too.
Who's on the team?
Director - Sean Barrett
Producer - Kim Schlechta

Risks and challenges
As with any on camera project, risks exist and challenges are abound. However, this project has been in our hearts for a very long time and we've learned a TON in producing this first season all on our own. We've got a fantastic team in place in every step of the process and we have the utmost confidence that we can navigate our way to an even BETTER Season 2 of OTP, with your help!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
