Endless: Fantasy Tactics is a tactical miniatures game designed by On The Lamb Games. With a focus on boutique anime style miniatures and an art aesthetic harkening back to the golden age of JRPGs, you can build your own custom team of knights, wizards, and monsters. Equip them with items and pick their abilities. Fight it out in story scenarios, or recreations of your favorite games. A standard game takes about 20 to 30 minutes to play with 5-10 miniatures, uses a D6 pool-based system of gameplay, and is meant for 2+ Players.
Here is a full gameplay video:
This is a follow up campaign to our previous Kickstarter in November 2012, we hope to expand the number of available models and fund the art costs for EFT’s first campaign supplement entitled ‘The Miasma War’. This story based campaign provides new & old Endless gamers with new scenarios to play, new and variant stat cards, and more insight into the world of Terra. During the course of the campaign, players will gradually expand their party to build an army to take on the forces of The Miasma.
Long time fans of OTLG know that we often struggle with being able to provide enough art in our books, and with this Kickstarter we’ll be able to fill the book with great pieces of art from our talented artists.
About the Miasma War
The Miasma War is an expansion for the core EFT Rulebook.
- Adventure Mode - New rules for Single Player and/or Co-Op play, allowing you to do battle against the table itself with AI parties (1+ players).
- A full story campaign with scenarios appropriate for playing with the AI Parties or in 'Classic' mode with an opposing player.
- New units to add to your parties.
- Taisen Mode - Rules for playing large battles.
- 'Player Avatar' - The ability to create your own character.
About the Artists
We'll mainly be using two artists for the Miasma War: Noah Page (Brushfire, EFT), and Heath Foley (Brushfire, EFT, Deadzone, Dreadball, Counterblast, Blackwater Gulch).
Heath is responsible for the majority of the art in the core books for Endless: Fantasy Tactics and Brushfire. Noah did the Miasma War banner shown in the KS Icon, and several of the classes in EFT.
About Fals & Rewards
To make reward selection as easy for you as possible, this Kickstarter will use a 'picking' system. Each pledge level provides a certain amount of "Fals" (the fictional currency of Endless). Each miniature or other item will cost a number of "Fals", starting at 1 for normal sized miniatures (25mm Base), with larger miniatures (50mm+ Base) costing 2 or more. This way you know from the outset how many miniatures or items are coming with your pledge level, rather than having to wait for your chosen bundle to get more added to it.
This is the "Fals" icon, in the chart below the available models are broken up into different sections based on how many Fals they'll cost you and if they are unique for gameplay purposes.
Click Here to access the Pledge Calculator. Currently there are 50 Fals worth of items available, 47 of which are miniatures.
In Update #4 we created several party suggestions to help new players with what sort of models to pick. Feel free to send us a message, or post a comment if you have any questions about selecting rewards.
Further Goals will add additional Miniatures for you to select from, along with funding more art for the campaign book.
The miniatures will be sculpted by Patrick Keith (Bombshell Babes, Counterblast, Reaper Miniatures), Sean Bullough (Warmachine/Hordes), and Bob Naismith (Warhammer 40k, Kings of War, Brushfire). Bob did the majority of the sculpting for our previous Kickstarter; and Patrick has done the Dragoon [F], Lyra Cosine, and Crusader [F] models for us.
Patrick Keith will be sculpting the Lunarian, the Barghest, Chain (Heroine of Time), the Rune Fencer, the Rhapsodist, the Berserker, and Rin Azel.
Sean Bullough will be sculpting the Mandragora, the Kappa, the Gargoyle Demonite, Zebolg, the Deep Troll, and the Fire Troll.
All models are supplied with a 25mm (or larger) Square Base and a stat card. Models are cast in resin, and require assembly and painting.
About the Game
Endless is a Tactical Miniatures game that recreates the playstyle and feel of classic 90’s console RPGs on your table top. To get ready for a match of Endless, you will need to follow these steps:
- 1. Create a Party - Select which Models you want to bring in your adventuring party.
- 2. Select Commands - 1 and 2 Crystal Models may only take a limited number of the Commands listed on the back of their card.
- 3. Select Items - From your deck of item cards, select which items are carried by which Models.
- 4. Play! - The following is just an excerpt of the basics, the full rulebook will give you more information.
A normal play area is between 10”x10” and 20” x 20” with a square grid. You can easily find RPG game mats at gaming stores or build your own boards with 1” squares. Tactical RPGs have multilevel battlefields, where the elevation of certain squares can change a battle. If you are designing your own map, make sure to include changes in elevation. Using a dry erase/wet erase marker on a square, you can mark the height of the square if you are unable to build a three dimensional battlefield.
Creating a Party
The basic Party size is determined by the scenario being played. If two players simply wish to have a skirmish, they can agree upon a Crystal Limit to play a game. In such situations the standard Limit is either 5 Crystals or 10 Crystals. The Crystal cost for a Model is often shortened to ‘C’ as in 1C for a Squire, or 3C for Lyra Cosine.
An Example party for a standard match could be:
Mandragora x3 (1C each), Cleric x1 (2C), Rune Fencer x1 (2C), and Chain x1 (3C)
Dark Knight x2 (2C each), Zebolg x1 (3C), and Yulea Seablade x1 (3C)
1C and 2C Models have Command Lists on the back of their cards. These lists include check boxes that can be marked off, while the card is in a protective sleeve, using dry erase markers. Alternatively, you can use scratch paper. The commands you mark off are the only ones the Model can use in battle. 1C Models select 2 Commands, and 2C Models select 4 Commands. 3C+ Models have a fixed Command List, but placing them in card sleeves will still help with tracking HP and MP.
Models on Red or Purple backed cards are considered Unique. All Unique Models may only be taken once per Party. As they are Unique, with their own histories and personalities, their Command List is fixed, and they have all of their available commands.

This level includes the Commander level, netting you a bunch of EFT models, but also includes getting your own custom Class, Monster, or Character (Including a Mini & Stat Card).
This level includes the General level, netting you a ton of EFT models, but also includes getting your own custom Hero (Including a Mini & Stat Card) made after you and having them depicted fighting Zebolg in a piece of art in the campaign book. You'll also get a print of this art piece.
After the campaign is over we will use a survey or pledge manager to determine what models you're getting.
Add-Ons may be added to your Pledge of Sergeant, Commander, General or Higher. You may add the cost of these addons to your pledge while the campaign is active by using the 'Manage My Pledge' button, or you may add to it after the campaign ends by using our Pledge Manager.

- 10 Fals = $60
- 15 Fals = $90

Printed Books - While we're including PDF copies of everything, we know a lot of folks prefer to have their rulebooks in dead tree format. Printed books may also be added to the Knight level.

- The Miasma War Expansion Book (~140pgs, Color, Softcover) - $15
The delivery section of the Kickstarter is an estimate, and almost never accurate. We’ve put a date listed there that we think we’ll be done shipping by, but sometimes things happen and dates can slip. On our previous campaign we began shipping early, but over all took longer to get everything delivered then we had planned.
We have better control over our casting this time around, and should be able to begin shipping shortly after the greens arrive. We are also limiting the pledge options to several Waves of shipping to give a better idea of when to expect your items. As a pledge level begins to fill up we will add a new one with a slightly later 'shipping date'.

Risks and challenges
Our last campaign began shipping earlier then listed, but took longer to fully ship than intended. We're now casting everything in house, and are able to begin shipping shortly after we receive the greens. We've already been slotted into our sculptor's schedules, and should have the initial miniatures by Aug '14.
Depending on how many stretch goals we progress through those models may end up taking longer to ship, but if that's the case we will look into doing multiple shipments.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
