You can get these for $15 on ebay. So pissed I payed 80
Frankly, a bit disappointed. The description says you just slip inside the pillow and get isolated, but in fact for complete isolation you are supposed to insert your hands and cover your ears. Fine for sleeping on the table, but not while sitting. If you need just a comfy pillow without sound isolation, this one is perfect.
We have received both my pillows (even though the 2nd piece came late). We are happy with the pillows! Thank you!!

I don't think it is fair to say they don't deliver - but they certainly need to work on fulfilment of orders and customer candour. Anyhow, all is well in the end, and the product is pretty fun anyway.
Just got an email today blaming Australian customs/quarantine for holding SOME of the deliveries... To me, it seems like it is all lies, and the fault of everyone else except Kawamura-Ganjavian... You state in the email "Some of them were released within a few days and are on their way to their delivery destinations." but this process takes at most days, not 2 weeks... STOP with the bullshit. I hope that everyone that does business with these guys in the future, 'Key Portilla-Kawamura and Ali Ganjavian / Studio Banana' take note of the fact they do not deliver as promised and are full of excuses about it being somebody elses fault...
So, an actual update email was sent today. Apparently deliveries to Australia (not all of them strangely enough) are currently stuck in quarantine. If my recollections are correct that makes it the third time you've told us these things have been in customs since you sent them. Also according to you, they were sent before Christmas.
That makes it an almost three month trip with three visits through customs. Unacceptable. I've requested a refund via email as I have no faith that it will ever actually get delivered. When can I expect the refund?
Well sh!t on a popsicle~ if you delivered as promised instead of lying to us every a few weeks then we wouldn't have demanded updates, now would we.
It's your fault really... telling us that they left "the nest" when they were still sitting in with you.
Then shipping it across a few continents (hence the multiple customs) before you actually post it to us.
Add that to the fact that you 'supposedly' lost some parcels, which was only revealed once you had been badgered online.
We didn't require anything except the Ostrich Pillow yet you couldn't deliver that... now most of us don't even expect that... all we want is our money back.
As you are most probably aware all communications have been centralised and you have been receiving message directly from us.

Studio Banana Things
I am in Hong Kong and I received mine today. It has been a long wait and I am still gutted that it took so long. Banana Studios - you really need to look at how you deal with your customers. I understand to an extent (I deal with China and $ come before customer service) but really, these people backed your project. You need to look after them first before setting up at Selfridges and lining your pockets.
That said, the pillow is very nice and of a high quality. I am sure that I will be using it for many years, thank you.
Just realised I said it's been close to 2 months since any official Ostrich Pillow communication has happened on Kickstarter. I was wrong, it's only been a month. But a month is still too long to go without an update when there's obviously a lot of people still waiting on their orders.

So for the third time the ostrich pillows are in customs? That seems unbelievable. A warning to anyone who does business with these clowns: what they say and what they do are two different things, do business at your own risk.

I have an update for all of the Aussies still waiting. I asked about Australian deliveries on Facebook and surprisingly got a response. I was told logistics would contact me via email to give me an update and I actually got that overnight. Here it is:
"Dear Australian Napper,
Just a few words to give you an update on the status of your order.
We know all Australian orders are already in Sydney, going through customs. Unfortunately the distributor in Australia haven't send us a tracking number to give you yet, but we estimate the merchandise will clear customs today and all the packages will be delivered within 10 days.
Thank you again for all your support and patience. We know this has been a long wait and you are very anxious to receive your Ostrich Pillow, but all this will end soon. It has been a very long journey for your Ostrich Pillow and also for a small startup company like us, and we know we couldn't have done it without you."
Why this couldn't have been posted as an update here for Kickstarter backers is beyond me, but I guess nothing about this company should come as a surprise anymore.
I should also point out I'm also one of the people who still haven't received theirs yet. I live in Australia, which is apparently still an undiscovered continent for the ships coming out of Hong Kong.
Guys, I think you're wasting your breath complaining on Kickstarter. I don't think they even come here anymore. The 31st of January is the last time there was any evidence of communication by these guys. Close to 2 months ago. All of their attention seems to now be over on their Facebook page. Maybe you'll have better luck getting an answer over there.

On Facebook, they are still promoting their online store and Selfridges (UK department store).
Bad word of mouth destroys all of that... it might nudge them into doing something if enough people complain, just saying...
Here's the excuse that they give on a post on Facebook:
"Ostrich Pillow: Hey Paul Bear Yoon, it appears some of our parcels have been going missing so we have had a courier change in the middle of all this, and then re-stocking. In fact this is the tip of the ice-berg there have been a load of challenges. Thanks for being so supportive and extremely patient."

Asia, Australia and New Zealand: Ostrich Pillows are in the process of clearing customs. All deliveries are expected to be completed within two weeks. (please check your emails for message from email@example.com for more information)
Russia: Orders are in transit. We are experiencing a two weeks delay, however all deliveries are expected to be completed within the month of February.
Rest of the world: All orders have been sent via certified mail. Tracking numbers are being emailed. All deliveries are expected to be completed within 6/12 working days.
Many thanks for your ongoing support and patience. We look forward to hearing from you on our social media pages upon receipt of your Ostrich Pillow.

I believe it is time to give us an update... we, the kickstarters in the 'rest of the world' (plus it seems quite a number of people in EU and US), who helped your project forward are still waiting.
There have been many comments here and in your last update (that being about three weeks ago) asking for an update yet no reply.
I see there have been people who have already received their Ostrich Pillows when they've only ordered this year... hahaha ha.
Will we be receiving them soon as your last update implies or are we going to have to resign ourselves to giving them as Easter presents?
Seems like I'm not the only one who hasn't yet received my Ostrich Pillow, despite having received a message that 'all deliveries to the US and EUR are now complete'.

Excuses, excuses, excuses. Getting a straight answer from you guys just never seems to happen. Enough with the 'nests', 'chicks', and 'happy napping'. Every time a disgruntled Kickstarter backer in the southern hemisphere asks what the hell is going on we just get these fluffy answers and constant descriptions of shipping delays.
This is by far the worst Kickstarter experience I've had so far after backing many campaigns, and it's by the far the worst online shopping experience I've had as well. December delivery turned into January, January is turning into February. Mailing packages to Australia just isn't that hard.
No, I'm not tired and I don't need a nap, so you can keep that condescending response to yourself. I'm just annoyed by the way we are all being treated. We're obviously not where the majority of your backers came from and we appear to have just been shunted to the back of the crowd as a result. Better communication of facts and less fluff would make people (myself included) a lot less hostile about the situation.
I was away when fedex called twice to deliver my parcel, however my neighbour was able to take the delivery for me. Both my ostriches arrived on the 18th December here in Ireland. It has been a happy experience backing this project and I'm delighted with the product. Gotta run now, I feel a nap coming on. Cheers and thank you to all concerned. Happy days!

I'm awaiting a lovely pillow to be delivered to Denmark but it hasn't arrived yet, and in the latest update it is written that all deliveries to Europe have been completed.

Firstly, you must be (and excuse the term) shitting me! So you're telling us that these haven't been sent to us yet. They had been sitting in storage in Spain all this time and only just managed to clear customs... and so, just so we're straight, now we wait three weeks for them to get to Hong Kong, clear customs again (?), a week handling, get dispatched from Hong Kong (I'm presuming this is where it is actually getting addressed to us) and finally by early to mid February expect delivery?
Secondly, my question is why were they not sent via courier from Spain like the others? Actually, don't answer that one... why fool us around? These may have technically left your nest but by no means had they been addressed and sent to us.. and that was what we actually wanted to know.
I shit you not, expect unhappy customers... not that I think you actually give a hoot since you've already taken our money.
Also, we ain't that happy and aren't really napping yet either.
