The Turtle Moves...
The Discworld® is a series of satirical fantasy by Terry Pratchett®, and the stage adaptations are owned by and licensed from Stephen Briggs. In bringing the Discworld® to Chicago, we also bring the sense of fun, whimsy, and that greatest of all mirrors held up to life: art.
"Wyrd Sisters" is technically the second (but officially the first) story of the Witches of Lancre, and the beginning of an exploration of the power of Stories. Stories in the Discworld®, as they do here, have a power all their own, and to be a witch is to straddle the line between stories and the people they affect. Such is the beginning of the new Kingdom of Lancre.
It's a tried-and-true tale, of course: A murderous plot, a coup, an evil tyrant deposed and a heroic new leader taking the reigns. But when the story comes off the rails, it's up to the Witches to set things right.
Where and when is this being performed?
"Wyrd Sisters" will be performed Thursday-Sunday during the last two weeks of July, at the Side Project Theatre in Chicago, just off the CTA Red Line.
Tickets will go on sale as it gets closer to the performance.
What does my donation pay for?
The money we raise for "Wyrd Sisters" will pay for the final licensing fees for both the script and the theater, as well as the costumes and props to be used for a two-week run. Any additional funding we obtain will further increase the quality of the show, as well as provide additional advertisement and promotional materials. See "Stretch Goals", below.
Sure, but what do I get in return?
In addition to helping a wonderful production of a fantastic story by a talented cast and crew, your donation could net you BONUS REWARDS from the staff and special contributors to making this show happen. Please see the donation levels to the right!
Please note: If you select a donation tier with rewards that also include tickets to the show, and you are not able to come see the show, please contact us.

MADE OF FAIL CLASSIC
Dayna and Kevin (returning from hosting retirement for a LIMITED EDITION SPECIAL SHOW) will have you on Made of Fail for an episode chosen by you! Your discussion topic! Your promoted links and anything else!
What happens if you exceed your requirement?
As mentioned above, every dollar past the $5,000 we need to perform the show will go towards making "Wyrd Sisters" even better. This will be split between props, costumes, advertisement, and promotional materials. If we get enough for promotional materials, then YOU, THE PROJECT BACKERS, will have them added to the appropriate tiers! This will happen automatically, with no need to change your reward level.
These stretch reward tiers will be announced as we pull together more information about them. Stay tuned!

Risks and challenges
The greatest challenge will be, of course, to obtain an audience! We're hoping that those backing the project will also be able to come attend the show, to see exactly what their generous donations have paid for. Beyond that, there is also the theatre community of Chicago, as well as Midwestern Discworld® fans that can attend, and we will certainly be advertising to all of them!
In case of illness or inclement weather, we will need to adapt our performance schedule somewhat. Everyone who purchases a ticket will be accommodated, however.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
