Risks and challenges
The MAC faces the challenges of the economy to sustain our Visual Art and Educational programming. As a non-profit arts organization, The MAC addresses areas of deficit by implementing an aggressive fundraising plan for our 2014-2015 programming. The MAC obtains funds through individual donors, corporate sponsors, grants and partnerships with local organizations to alleviate exhibition expenses.
The MAC sets monthly meetings with our fundraising committee to discuss our financial stability and to share innovative tactics. One such initiative developed from committee meetings is our new membership level, The MAC PAC, which provides a unique opportunity for those interested in contemporary art to engage with like-minded individuals while supporting our institution. The MAC PAC membership income has been an added source of revenue that helps facilitate operating, exhibition and technological costs.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
