The next generation of inflatable paddle board has arrived: Lighter, faster, stronger and even more beautiful. Made in Switzerland.
2015 was a great year for Origin Paddleboards. We won an engineering award for our work with complex fabrics, we made boards that weighed less than 8kg and could withstand internal pressures 3 times more than that of our competitors and saw our boards taken on some amazing adventures: The first circumnavigation of Martinique, crossing the English Channel and traveling the length of the Danube to name but a few.
Through all this we've received constant feedback and we’ve taken this onboard, coupled it with our passion for perfection, and realised that we could do even better: Make an even lighter board, one that looks more beautiful and one that is faster, stronger and more suited to be taken all over the world. And that is what we have done.
We are a design-led brand and believe that you shouldn’t have to sacrifice style for performance. We find the very best components, the most technologically advanced materials and produce in our own in-house manufacturing facilities, ensuring our passion for exacting standards and eye for classic design is put into every board.
12'6 Tour: 12'6 x 30" x 6" // 7kg (15lbs) // 340L
14'0 Tour/Race Hybrid: 14'0 x 26.5" x 6" // 7.5kg (16.5lbs) // 360L
IMPORTANT: Due to the advanced REACH certified European drop stitch material and proprietary Gel Coat Second Skin, all Origin Paddleboards have an uniquely accentuated rail shape. This allows for greater lateral roll which, in turn, allows greater board control and increased speed!
"Nothing but the very best. Why accept anything less?" - Neil Parmenter. Co-Founder.
- K-Pump K20 - Made in the USA. Virtually indestructible, floats and makes it a breeze to inflate.
- FCS 9" Tour Fin - A centre fin designed by the world's leading fin manufacturer.
- Waxed Canvas Bag - For generations used in the outdoor industry, waxed canvas is stylish, water resistant and incredibly strong. Made in Great Britain.
Averaging just under 7kg (15lbs) across the model range, these are boards to be taken EVERYWHERE. We've obsessed about every component and selected only those that can reduce weight AND increase performance.
Never miss out on an opportunity to explore again. By car, aeroplane, bike or train (or just on foot), an Origin Paddleboards inflatable should be the first thing that gets put on your packing list and with a British made waxed canvas bag to put the board in too, you can now do it in style!
The Swiss are renowned for their precision engineering, attention to detail and highly skilled labour force. Switzerland is the water source of Europe and with more lakes and rivers than anywhere else in the world comparable to its size, it is the perfect testing, development and production location for our innovative stand up paddleboards and lifestyle products.
What else makes Switzerland perfect for our first micro-manufacturing facility?? Punctuality. The Swiss pride themselves on being on time (probably as a result of all the watches made there) so we know our deadlines will be kept and you will get your product on time and made to the highest possible standards.

We've spent immense amount of time and effort selecting our materials and perfecting our production methods. We've sent boards around the world, thrown them off a dam, jacked up cars with them and taken them to exploding point and as a result we are proud to offer the best warranty in the industry.
We believe a successful company has a duty to help others. That is why, for every board we sell we provide a child in the developing world with clean water for LIFE.
We know you are full of great ideas but in case you need a little inspiration, check out these videos below. Have fun!

Risks and challenges
We are not selling an idea, our boards have been used all around the world. The facility is up and running and our suppliers are locked in and are reliable.
As with any journey, unexpected events can occur. However, we have worked hard to set in place all the elements needed to ensure we produce and deliver on time; placing manufacturing in our own hands, building strong relationships with our suppliers over the years and using designated, specialist logistics and shipping partners to ensure smooth delivery.
Furthermore, we have estimated our lead times conservatively on our components and materials. This is, however, one area that is out of our control and could possibly cause delays. If this happens we will be sure to keep you informed and work to quickly solve the problem.
Naturally, there may also be issues that arise during manufacturing but currently we cannot foresee anything that would jeopardise the project. Our team is made up of experts in their respective fields who are prepared to meet any challenge.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
