Welcome to the Commander Playmat Kickstarter!
Brought to you by the team at Original Magic Art.
In our never ending quest to promote the art of Magic: the Gathering, we are working with Wizards of the Coast, UltraPro and several amazing artists to produce officially licensed playmats for one of our favorite formats, Commander.
We're so excited to bring to life some of the most popular and powerful Commanders, many of which have never been seen in playmat form.
Risks and challenges
The aim of this project is to be shipping these mats out prior to the Christmas holidays.
Prototypes of each of the first 12 mats have been completed and will be ready to ship out in time. Additional unexpected demand may delay shipping for later backers, but we've already coordinated with UltraPro to secure additional production capacity, if required.
New designs, those unlocked if the project reaches $15,000 or more, may require additional time for digital proofing and may not meet the estimated delivery window. Every effort will be made to ensure timely delivery and we've already communicated with UltraPro and the artists to ensure we can move quickly in this scenario.
The Original Magic Art team has successfully delivered four Kickstarters to date and learned valuable lessons from each of them.
