RoVaPaste 3D Printer - 3D Print any food or paste material
Expand the materials you can 3D Print with! Our new RoVaPaste 3D Printer can print any paste/food! Starting at only $899 CAD!!
Additional Information Video:
This Kickstarter project is to fund the development and delivery of the RoVa-Paste. With this 3D printer you can make 3D Prints from almost any material that is available in a paste. Some edible and others in-edible. At ORD Solutions, we manufacture high quality, long life printers. We have many happy customers in the industrial, commercial, and hobby communities. Our printers are over-engineered to ensure that they will last for many years of constant printing.
ORD Solutions is a Canadian company based in Cambridge, Ontario. In October of 2013, we ran our first Kickstarter for the MH3000R1 3D Printer. We raised over $100,000, and supplied printers to more than 50 individuals and companies. Those printers have been built and shipped, and are now in the hands of our Kickstarter backers. We have also sold additional printers of this model since our Kickstarter ended. We learned a lot and thoroughly enjoyed the project. In June 2014 we launched our second Kickstarter for the RoVa3D and we were again able to raise over $100,000! So why are we having another Kickstarter? Well it is because with the Kickstarter money we are able to continue our R&D work to push technology further faster! We want to stay ahead of the game and be able to continue to offer awesome products at low prices. We have made sure to space out the delivery times between the two campaigns, so that all rewards will be delivered on time!
What This Project is About:
You see the biggest problem with 3D printing is the material. It's very specific and you can't just use anything and you must order the filament. You pay for shipping and you wait to receive it. Expensive and time consuming and much more difficult to find. You can't just drive to Walmart and buy 3D printer plastic filament...There is also a safety concern of burns, especially if used by children, because of the high temperatures required to melt the plastic used in traditional 3D Printers.
Contrast that with our paste extruding 3D Printer. The RoVa-Paste is very safe because there is no heat required. The material is also safe if you print with food based pastes like icing and Nutella. You can print with almost anything! The syringe and tube and nozzle are plastic and inexpensive to replace, and easy to replace, and designed to be replaced for easy cleanup. So you never worry about wrecking your printer. You can start playing the "Will it print?" game. The point is that if you run out of material you can literally go to the 7-11 @ midnight and buy 20 different materials there for very little money that you can extrude with this printer!!! And because there is no heat they are safe enough for children to operate.
If you are concerned about hacking your expensive 3D Printer so that it can print with paste or food, and possibly voiding the warranty on your filament filament printer then look no further. Starting at only $899 CAD you can have a paste/food extruding 3D Printer that comes fully assembled with all the software, and support you will need, and it comes with a warranty too!
The RoVa-Paste is not just another paste printer. Using a new powerful extrusion technology almost any material that is available in a liquid or paste may be printed. Normally filament based 3D Printers are limited to printing harder materials that result in hard 3D objects, but with this printer you can print in soft and flexible materials or materials that will harden into a solid structure as they cure. Silicone is a very useful material that can be printed with the RoVa-Paste - it will result in a finished object that is flexible and will tolerate very high temperatures. It could be used to make bouncy balls, or custom shaped gaskets that are water tight, or the tire part of a wheel for an R/C car. Other very useful material that can be printed with this machine would be plaster, which can be painted, glazed and fired, or to make molds for casting. Stay with us on this Kickstarter journey as we test a myriad of materials in our quest to answer the question "Will it Print?"

Below is a link to the pledge calculator. When you click this link you will be taken to a new window where you can calculate how much you should pledge for your printer. You will select:
Which Batch are you pledging in?
Please choose your location.
Once you have your pledge amount click the link from the Calculator that says: "Click here to return back to our Kickstarter page" to return to the Kickstarter page, and then click the "Back This Project" button at the top of this page, and enter the pledge amount in the "Pledge Amount" field. ** Please make sure to pledge the CAD amount shown on the calculator. Then choose the reward that corresponds with your desired delivery date. All prices are in Canadian dollars. Visit www.xe.com to calculate what this is in your currency.
The amount of your pledge includes shipping to your door, but does not include VAT or other taxes, duties your country will charge (if any), and any fees associated with customs brokerage. Use a site like http://www.dutycalculator.com to calculate the likely costs of shipping from Canada to your country.
We have set our initial funding goal quite low. We have created some additional incentives for you if our funding reaches the following levels, so be sure to share this project with your entire network. In essence, we are rewarding you for helping us to promote this project. All prices are in Canadian dollars.
So what do you get??? We are changing things up for our stretch goals. Each reward level will unlock a new ADD ON option. With each stretch goal met, you will have the ability to add a new option to your printer for an additional cost. If you do choose to add the new option on you will also get FREE STUFF! Why are we doing it this way? These goals require more design work and are pricey. We want to keep the original pledge levels simple this time. Starting at $899 you will get a single extruder printer. If you want it to become a multi material printer - then you can customize your printer the way you want!
$25,000 - WE REACHED OUR FUNDING GOAL! Single Paste Extruder 3D Printer, Stainless Steel Cookie Sheet, 3 Syringe Cartridge Kits!
$50,000 - Ability to add 2nd paste extruder to your printer for an additional $250 CAD. If you do you will get 3 more material cartridge kits, AND we will add a Wilton style cake decorating tip adapter so that you can experiment with icing!
$75,000 - Ability to add one filament extruder to your printer for an additional $500 CAD, AND if you do we will include an Android tablet to your order for computer free printing, as well as a .35mm Nozzle, a .5mm Nozzle and a .7mm Nozzle! The RoVa3D extruder will be side mounted, not on the X carriage, to reduce weight and increase speed. The hot ends are all metal so they can print at any temperature up to 450°C and will have the RoVa3D Hi-Flo technology for smoother flow and trouble free printing. You will also get the liquid cooling system to prevent jamming. This will allow you to use your printer with plastic filaments as well as any paste!
$100,000 - Ability to add a second filament extruder to your printer for an additional $200 CAD, AND if you do we will include 2 spools of filament—your choice of color in ABS, PLA, T-Glase, or Nylon!
By pledging for a printer on this Kickstarter, you will receive the following Kickstarter bonuses. Some of these are Kickstarter exclusives, and some will be available on our web store for an additional fee, but Kickstarter backers get them all for free!
