EPOCH: The Awakening is a highly strategic tabletop board game for 2-5 players. The main mechanic is action selection with advanced resource management and an optional focus on area control. Game play generally takes 15-30 minutes per player. It has a careful balance of depth and tempo, which is a challenging combination. Playing it will give you joy.
The game was written and engineered over the course of several years by lifetime gamer, graphic designer, and branding consultant Marc Neidlinger, with the help of hundreds of play testers, artists, writers, and game enthusiasts.
Game Play Overview
The game begins: thrown overboard for a life of wretchedness, you wash ashore a hostile island ruins. Through advanced resource management, area control tactics, and freeform action selection, you’ll add companions to your party, acquire bizarre relics, attain potent character traits, and defeat a host of unusual monsters in the ultimate goal of mastering heroic attributes — and regaining honor.
You may perform 3 actions on each turn in the order you feel is most advantageous that turn: activate a companion, travel to a new location, and interact with a map tile. Many actions require the the use of your influence to gain attributes in a one-of-a-kind heroic attribute alchemy system, which is leveraged to gain the game's most powerful rewards. For example, you can meditate at a spire to gain inspiration. You can train at a fort to gain strength. But then you can combine your inspiration and strength to gain the courage (inspired strength) which allows you to perform a bounty hunt.
As you exert your influence to attain heroic attributes, build your party, and embark on your adventure, you'll find over 100 unique card abilities that can be merged in unusual ways to create potent combinations...only some of which will come out each game. The map is revealed fog-of-war style through tile placement, so it's different every game.
Undead Viking Review: FINAL THOUGHTS begin at 24:05.
"This is such a great game, we don't give out a lot of approval stamps, I think the 4 of 5 of us who played rated the game 9.5 (which helps determine my over-all review and approval stamps) So much fun, I'm excited to play again the moment I have a spare day!"
"I had the chance to play this weekend and I think you have made a fantastic product top to bottom.” — John Z., Owner, Alderac Entertainment Group (AEG) and Producer of SmashUp, Love Letter, and Mystic Vale
“The game pushes players to adopt separate strategies, and adapt on the fly. You can compete with another player over a common resource, but for different purposes. Both victory points and the ending of the game are themselves gamified and interactable.”—Anthony P., Playtester

We have carefully prepared for this project, including high levels of communication with manufacturers, fulfillment companies, financial institutions, tax and legal specialists, and a handful of other vendors.

As a creative agency, we are experts at file preparation and print production, so there will be no delays on our end in that regard. All of the files for the miniatures are already built and ready to rock.
