Big news, Backers!
We've officially changed the name of our film to "6", as in the sixth mass extinction of species currently happening on Earth today.
And even more, we're having a work-in-progress screening of 6 at the Tribeca Film Festival! The festival runs April 16-27 in New York City.
Here's the how Tribeca describes the film: From the Academy Award®- winning filmmaking team that revealed oceanic atrocities in The Cove comes a bigger and bolder mission. Utilizing state-of-the-art equipment, director Louie Psihoyos assembles a team of activists intent on showing the world never-before-seen images that will change the way we understand issues of endangered species and mass extinction. Whether infiltrating notorious black markets with guerilla-style tactics, or working with artists to create beautiful imagery with unexpected animal subjects, 6 will literally change the way you see the world.
We love this shot from the film, of a freediver and a blue whale—the largest animal ever to have lived on the planet. We are still editing and shooting the final pieces and we can't to share the finished film with you!
6 will premiere in late summer/early fall and we will be sure to give you more updates as they come!
