Salvaged gets huge revamp, comic, audio logs, coming to Greenlight!
Hey there trusty backers,
We wanted to drop you guys a quick line to let you know where we're at.
Salvaged has been reborn, revamped and reinvigorated (etc.), we even have a new logo. We took the feedback on the initial alpha and went to town on creating a new Salvaged. With the introduction of a range of new features, including natural pauses and SWAT-style tactical planning, the game's a little easier to deal with. Daniel Dowsing tells all in a recent blog post - ‘Lost and Found’: New Salvaged part 1 and part 2.
We are heading to Steam Greenlight very soon with an all-new trailer showcasing the new visual style, command room and capabilities of the latest version of Salvaged. Watch this space for updates and please give us a vote when we're up there as we need the support of our fans. Every vote counts!
We've recently been releasing some beautiful new art pieces on the Salvaged site from our awesome 2D artist Lewis Gilliard, and there are still way more to come. Keep an eye on our social feeds (twitter, Facebook) to check out the new pieces as they arrive.
We’ve been in the studio with the brilliant Kate Davies recording a series of audio logs from the perspective of Commander Alex Pieterson, which we've begun to release on a weekly basis. Featuring soundscapes and music from the excellent Joe Charles, aka LabGrownMusic, these logs chart the history of Alex Pieterson in the lead-up to the story of the Salvaged game itself. Check out parts one, two and three.
Also coming soon is a Salvaged comic, penned by Daniel Dowsing and drawn by Lewis Gilliard. The comic's a gritty origin story of sorts; a recount of the horrifying events of a mission early in Alex Pieterson's salvaging career in which we see her becoming the commander she didn't know she could be.
We’ve been keeping the website up-to-date with weekly blogs on everything Salvaged, including info on Alex Pieterson and ship AI Thaddeus, dual screen/VR gameplay explanations, gameplay details and even the agents themselves.
All the best,
The Opposable Games Team
