First, as representative elect for Operation Ooze, I would like to thank Michael for initiating this project and accomplishing so much in the brief time since the endeavor started. Having been trusted as the custodians of the event, Operation Ooze would like to make clear what their goals as an organization are in relation to the project, and familiarize themselves to those who may not have encountered them before.
In general, Operation Ooze is a collective formed with the intent of enriching communities via atomic projects specifically designed to engage generations X and Y.
Specifically, Operation Ooze has assumed the logistical responsibilities associated with this viewing event. Operation Ooze intends to completely fulfill the original ideals that started the project, including letter-pressed certificates for donors and the presence of alcohol, and to expand upon those ideas in engaging ways.
Briefly, a reminder of the costs for hosting the event as relayed from Michael:
The cost of renting the theater, and staffing a projectionist for a day is $700. The cost of a banquet permit, to allow the serving of alcohol, is $10. Operation Ooze is in the process of pricing out further expenses and budgeting accordingly; for example, a single keg of beer costs approximately $75, with a refundable deposit.
The date of the viewing is scheduled for April 3rd. Operation Ooze would like the ability to extend the appreciation of this event to all fans of Firefly, but that is not possible due to the limited capacity of the theatre. If you would like to attend, please send a statement of interest to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Operation Ooze is very pleased with this opportunity.
