Thanksgiving Update

Hello all,

Lots of exciting news!

First, in the spirit of the weekend, we wanted to express our gratitude for all of you. We're endlessly thankful for having such a wonderful community of fellow explorers.

Second, the samples of the new cape arrived in our mailbox on Wednesday afternoon, just before the post office shut down for a long weekend. We've been testing for the past three days and are excited to report that the latest revisions are good to go!

Here's a video update and overview (including a cameo from Eric in Antarctica):

Production will now kick into gear and we should have the remainder of the capes by the end of the month, and kits shipping the first week of December. For the fully assembled units, it's going to take us a few weeks longer to build and test.

Giving credit where it's due, Dominik Fretz, Simone ChiarettaBran Sorem and Tony Guntharp are the real heroes. The software portion of OpenROV is incredible.

Lastly, we always like to dream about ways to improve the OpenROV experience. We want to make sure that everyone is getting as much out of their contributions to the community as possible. I wrote up a blog post on our mission to maximize ROA (Return on Adventure) and we'd love to hear your thoughts.

As always, feel free to email us with any questions or ideas!

Warmest regards,

David & Eric (in Antarctica)
