Kimiko and the 50,000th Bösendorfer
Exciting news from Bösendorfer: they've celebrated 185 years in existence and have created their 50,000th instrument. When Kimiko Ishizaka visited the Wiener-Neustadt factory, Director Brian Kemble gave us a sneak peek at the instrument, before it was even completely finished. Here is a "behind the scenes" glimpse at the 50,000 - a sort of "instrument in the making" video, featuring Kimiko Ishizaka and Bach.
While we were at the Bösendorfer factory, Kimiko also chose the Bösendorfer 280 that will travel to the Teldex Studio in Berlin for the Open Well-Tempered Clavier recording. We recorded her trying out three magnificent instruments: can you spot the winner before she reveals which one it is?
The Open Well-Tempered Clavier Kickstarter is still going: if you haven't had a chance to check it out, take a look, and consider supporting us!
