Yes! Simply pledge the total dollar amount to account for everything you want and you will be able to specify the items in a survey that we'll send out after the Kickstarter campaign ends. For example, if you want 3 Omega2's, then pledge $15 in the $5 Omega2 tier.
Shipping charges will be collected separately at the end of the campaign. The cost varies based on the weight and shipping location of your order. We have an existing relationship with an established fulfillment partner who provides us with very low shipping rates.
The original Omega may not be fully or at all compatible with new Expansions & Docks.
The Arduino Dock R2 uses the Omega2's second UART to communicate with the ATmega chip, the original Omega can most likely still use the Arduino Dock R2, it just will not be able to communicate through the UART.
The Hologram Expansion also relies on the second UART, so it will not be compatible with the original Omega.
Most of the Control Everything products are I2C based so they will work with the original Omega, but there might be exceptions!
The Omega2 can be powered with any 3.3v DC power supply (by connecting it to the 3.3V and GND pins).
When using the Omega2 with any of the Docks, it can be powered through the MicroUSB port. All of the Docks have voltage regulators to ensure the correct voltage for the Omega.
No, unfortunately the power dock will not come work a battery. The regulation for shipping batteries had become very strict. And a high percentage of power docks we sent out were withheld or sent back. So, in the interest of fulfilling everything on time we have decided to not include the battery in the power dock. We have also decreased the price of the power dock from $25 to $15. Thanks for understanding!
