What is Catch and Release?
Catch and Release is a social card game for anyone. Grab your friends, girls, guys, all you need is at least 3 people to play. Inspired by our dating app The Catch, we’ve developed a physical card game full of dating and sex related questions and answers.
Playing is Simple! Catch or Release plays similarly to Cards Against Humanity. Each round, one player (host) draws a question or statement. Everyone else answers the questions or fills in the blank with their funniest response anonymously. Host then picks their favorite response and that person gets a point. First player to win seven rounds wins the game!

Power Plays
There are power play cards that are randomly shuffled in with the answer cards, so if you draw one you have a great advantage! Each player can play up to 2 power plays in each round. It is up to the player to choose their moment strategically and not miss the window of opportunity. Power plays are discarded after they are played and the player must draw an additional white card at the end of the round.
Lookie-Lookie: Allows player to peek at all the played white cards on the table before submitting their white card.
Switch-A-Roo: Allows the Player to blindly swap cards with another player of their choice, giving them a card from their hand as a replacement. Player A may not swap back with Player B if they are not happy with the result. (Best used if you here another player smiling or laughing knowing they have a good hand and you can switch!
Hint-Hint: Ask the host a question to better understand what white card you want to play.
Our Story
Catch and Release begun as a spin-off from our mobile game app, TheCatch.
We’ve developed this app to address the problem of dating apps only considering appearance. (Fine, location, too.) But what about personality!! We all have those basic questions we want to ask in order to know if you’ll get along with someone.
For example, would you prefer salad or pizza? Do you like to go out on the weekends or stay in and watch Netflix? Do you like animals? Do you go on roller coasters?
Help us change the way people meet!
Some of the questions in our deck are straight from the preloaded questions from our app! The majority, however, are funnier and probably more appropriate to play with friends and some wine. Dating and meeting people is hard, so why not joke about it! Learn more about your friends and their freaky sides! Who knows, maybe this will bring up some great dating horror stories.

The risks are minimal. Once you get a set of these cards, you'll quickly realize how awesome they are!
So far, we have gone to all possible lengths to ensure that the post-funding period will go as smoothly as possible. We've been in a long dialogue with our manufacturing and shipping teams, and are confident that everything has been brought into consideration.
