- We want everybody who helps out PACK #2: Kindness to have access to the first comic in the series, too! So we're going to send a digital download of PACK #1: Humility to EVERY one of our backers! (Since the campaign has already launched, we can't add PACK #1 to the official reward tiers that don't have it now...but rest assured: If you back this campaign, you will get digital downloads of both issues #1 and #2!)
- We've reworked our stretch goals! Instead of waiting to send everybody two additional digital comics by AJ O. Mason at the $500 stretch-goal mark... We're sending them to everybody when we reach our goal. Period! (See "Guest Art" below for more about those comics.)
About PACK #2: Kindness
Each member of this PACK of stray dogs—and one stray man—has a backstory. Each will be told in its own standalone issue of the vigilante comic book series PACK.
Kindness was raised as a family dog in a loving home...but the good times didn't last. Kidnapped and forced into a life of fighting for survival, Kindness had to find his own way out. He was taken in by the PACK, and now he's thriving. Although Kindness is usually sweet and mild, his occasional outburst of extreme viciousness tell a tale of trauma. In PACK #2: Kindness, readers will discover the rest of his story.
Now that the writing, art, and lettering for the second 24-page issue of the 7-part PACK series are finished, we're raising funds for printing and distribution, as well as payment for our contributors. And voila! A Kickstarter has been born!
We're excited to include guest art from PACK fans in this issue, as well! Here's a sneak peek at a gorgeous full-page portrait of the PACK by Shadowind Art!
We'll also include a scandalous page of guest art from renowned indie comics creator Pink Pitcher! Here's a sneak peek.
And we're excited to announce that, when we're fully funded, every backer will receive two bonus digital comics about pit bulls!
"I Love You" was written by AJ O. Mason, illustrated by Luca Cicognola, and lettered by Lyndon Radchenka.
And "Nel" was written and lettered by AJ O. Mason, and illustrated by Rolands Kalnins.
PACK is a 7-part comic book series that tells the gritty tale of 6 stray dogs—and 1 stray man—who put crime under the fang. In Brooklyn, where gentrification is king and corruption runs deep, the only way to stay safe is to assume everyone is on the take. On such lawless streets, these pups protect the innocent.
Patience and the Dogs of Virtue, each with their own history of trauma and redemption, prowl the alleys and enforce their own vigilante justice. In these dark times, the line between hero and villain is blurred, but to the PACK it’s simple: theirs is the only acceptable violence.
But their vigilantism draws attention from all the wrong places. Politicians, city planners, press, and police start to close in, looking to put a stop to the PACK's reign of brutal justice. Soon, one beat cop must try choose a side before it’s too late…

What You'll Get
All our backers will receive PACK #2: Kindness in print or digital format! We're also excited to offer super-cool rewards, like shwag packs of stickers and postcards, signed art prints, copies of PACK #1, original sketches of the members the PACK, other Oneshi Press comics, and more!
And Then There Were Stretch Goals!
- When we hit $500 over our initial goal, we'll add four pages to PACK #2: Kindness! This will give us more room for guest art, pin-up art, thank-you mentions, and chapter title pages! Since it will also up our printing costs, we'll be able to make it happen only if we raise $3,500.
Plus, Get Ready for Add-Ons!
We're working with Backerkit to get you even more goodies after the Kickstarter is successfully funded! You'll be able to add the following to your order at checkout: Art prints! Stickers! Oneshi Press comics in print or digital! Hand-drawn sketches! Even cameos in future volumes! And lots more!
You'll also get the warm tingles associated with doing a good deed and bringing awareness to animal rights issues! Who doesn't like warm tingles?
What We'll Get
We've got all the funds from the $3,000 goal planned and accounted for. Check out this nifty pie chart for all the details!
The writing, art, and lettering for PACK #2: Kindness are already complete! The pages have been published in 3 parts, in the pages of the Oneshi Press Anthology. Now, it's time for Kindness to get his own 24-page, standalone comic book! We want to give this Very Good Boy his due...and give fans of the series the second issue of PACK! With your backing, we'll both print several hundred copies of the standard comic-book-size issue and be able to pay the hard-working folks who brought the book to life.

Risks and challenges
The writing, art, and lettering for this 24-page comic book are already 100% complete! That means that all we're raising funds for is the printing of the comic, the creation and shipping of rewards for our backers, and a little left over to pay our contributors. Since most of the work is done, we plan to have our rewards out in September 2019.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
