About this project

I've been The One Mouth Band for a dozen years now, and I've had the idea for this project even longer. Both of my previous solo CDs were live a cappella recordings of covers, originals, and improvisations. Now I'm finally ready to produce the full-length, multi-tracked, all-original, and all-organic album that I've wanted to make for years.
This project is called "Could Love" after the call-to-arms, polyrhythmic, jazz track that closes the album. Every song that's a part of it is about also about love, and comes from the last few years touring and writing new songs with my live looping pedal. It shows pop, rock, soul, funk, jazz, blues, and latin influences. But I need your help to make it a reality.
I've received awards & acclaim for my performances, which have taken me all over the world. Yet as an independent musician, finances are always a challenge. Luckily, I've been able to do computer work to pay the bills. I self-financed my last CD, and I'm putting just as much of my own money down on this one already. With your contribution, you are creating:
- more time for me in the recording studio
- more songs on the CD
- professional editing & mixing
- high-quality mastering
Because of the way Kickstarter works, I don't get anything until that $5000 minimum is reached. Any additional funds donated over and above that will be used for creating/improving the CD packaging and promotion of this project.
Of course there are some nifty-gifts listed here for you at different pledge levels for encouragement (including an immediate download of the rough mix of one track). But really you're getting a lot more than that. You're giving a unique and independent musician the chance make an album that we can both listen to with pride for years to come.
I am ever-grateful to my family, friends, and fans for all your support. I look to you again now to please help me take this project to the finish line and out into the world, with love...
