About this project
We all carry our own unique collections of necessary tools: a charging cable, a favorite pen, a spoke wrench, solder, earphones, chapstick - the essential bits of our everyday lives. Together, they're often too much to carry around in your pocket, but less then needing a bag or purse for ...and simply too important to leave behind.
A tool roll for the rest of us
Inspired by the versatility of the classic tool roll used by professional chefs & craftsmen, we developed a contemporary version, capable of hold just about anything you might need on an average day, durable but tailored, with plenty of attention to detail. We sized it to fit in comfortably in your hand and be compact enough to carry in a coat pocket or larger bag.
It's designed to go anywhere, any time and look at home on a conference table, a workbench, in a kitchen or out on the town - with the right balance between rugged and refined.
It's hand crafted from thick, full-grain leather, with an internal elastic web that can accommodate almost anything, anchored with heavy gauge nylon thread. There are 5 narrow sleeves (for pens, mascara, small tools) and 2 wider sleeves (for cables, a AA battery, action figures).
The 3mm DIA closure bungee holds everything in place when rolled up, providing positive tension with both small and large tool collections. It will even hold a complete set of wrenches through 1/2"/14mm firmly in place - perfect for cyclists. The combination of leather construction, the internal elastic web and bungee closure assures heavier then usual objects stay put when in motion on the road.
Bike commuter? Designer? Super mom? Road warrior? We each have our own unique set of everyday tools...
Stretch goal: Red available @ $40K!
Suport for the Ledr project has been well above our projections, so we decided to reward our backers by adding RED to the line once the project hits $40K. It's a deep, rich red - a great option!

We looked everywhere for clean, well-designed, high-quality stainless steel hardware to use for the closure - they simply don't exist, so we created our own. The closure hardware piece is precision machined from 304 stainless steel by our favorite 180 year old machine shop - the same team that produced Pucs. Gear-like precision for a simple button makes for a great detail
The elastic closure is a thick 3mm DIA fabric covered shock cord, stitched in place with nylon thread, with a metal pass-through eyelet for added durability:
A simple, high quality wallet - a great companion piece
Designed as a matching companion piece for the Roll, the Ledr Wallet comes in both horizontal & vertical formats - each has their own merits; you will have the opportunity to weigh in on which format works best for you.
Our Tuls project backers asked for a simple, well-made wallet for their new Tuls collection. We designed and produced a few prototypes to understand the process, see how they wore over time and made adjustments where needed. It helped us understand the fundamentals of leather production, how the assembly process works and what to design for. They are constructed with the same baseball mitt leather, tough but tailored; a perfect match to compliment the Roll.
Amazing baseball glove leather in GREAT colors
Our production partners at Abas Leather produce a great line of baseball gloves under their Insignia brand, along with luxury leather accessories for many well-know premium & luxury brands. They are a family-owned local business, with 50 years of expert leather crafting experience.
For their baseball glove line, they keep an inventory of some of the best quality, full-grain leather that can be found anywhere. This leather looks great, feels wonderful and is tough enough to last forever. Full grain means that it is thick and softens nicely over time.
There were several of color options, but we picked 4 of the best to get started with. We chose classic black leather / black stitching and chocolate brown leather / tan stitching. We also added an interesting glove orange leather / tan stitching + a white leather / red stitching ...and now RED with white stitching - all a 'hint' at the sports heritage that is a big part of this project:
Our vision for Ledr is to eventually create a full line of clever, well-crafted, forward thinking leather accessories, begining with the Roll and 2 simple Wallets. This project is meant to be a foundation with a range of product possibilities down the road.
The funds raised will cover prototyping, one-time tooling charges, will help us mature our supply chain relationship and learn what it takes to pack and ship this type of product successfully.
We love the crowd funding environment - not just for the backing that helps us get a new product off the ground, but for the community of enthusiastic and thoughtful supporters we meet with each new project. We've learned a lot from our backers and know to leave plenty of room for your input along the way. Thoughts on what we should make next We'd love to hear them!
Our default shipping method will be US post. On our past projects, we've had a very high success rate with it, but please note that it will not include tracking past the US boarder; happy to help make alternative shipping arrangements with tracking at additional cost if needed.
Founded by my son, Calvin and I, Onehundred seeks out the amazing manufacturing talent found in our New England backyard. Everything we create is produced within 100 miles of our Boston HQ, 100% launched with our growing, enthusiastic family of international supporters on Kickstarter.
After a career of designing products for major international companies like Apple, Microsoft & GM, it's exciting to bring that product development experience to a local level where we can work hands on, designing and delivering clever, beautiful, useful everyday objects. Onehundred is now in its second year and has 3 successful crowd funding projects:
We hope that you'll join us to help launch our Ledr - thanks in advance for your support!

Risks and challenges
The manufacturing processes to produce Ledr wallets & roll are very straight forward (very skilled) cut and sew processes and as a rule, we always work out all of our technical and logistical issues before launching a project. However, these shops tend to be small and have their own unique way of prioritizing the order of projects they work on. The biggest risk to shipping on the stated delivery date is our shop's production capacity or scheduling of other work at the time of our actual order.
For those of you who are a new backer to one of our projects (please visit our past projects if you haven't already), we have a lot of product delivery experience and love to communicate; all of our previous projects (Pucs, Tuls & Brdi) have shipped on time and drama-free. Your pledge is in very good hands!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
