Have you ever bent or broken a key trying to open a paint can or attempted to repair something with whatever you have in your pocket? Have you ever needed a screwdriver NOW, but they’re all out in the garage or needed to quickly measure something at the hardware store?
Kiki: the ideal addition to your key ring
Kiki is designed to ride along side your keys, to be with you at all times and ready when you need it most. Like your wallet and your phone, your keys are always with you - the perfect place to keep a tough, well-made, multi-function tool. Laser cut from 3mm thick 304 Stainless Steel or Titanium, Kiki is tough, tailored & versatile.
While Kiki was born to live on your key chain, it's equally at home as a zipper pull or tethered to your backpack, bag or outdoor gear.
Kiki + Leather!
Kiki can be used 'lean' like the rest of your keys, or 'dressed up' with the included hand-crafted leather sheath. It adds order to your keys, is warm to the touch and really ups the look & feel of your EDC game.
Kiki is the result of all of the feedback we've received since our original Tuls project, incorporating the most popular mix of individual tools and backer suggestions. Whether you’re a cyclist, a backpacker, a craftsman or simply want to be ready for anything that may come up – Kiki is ready for you.
Kiki is under the 7" length restriction for tools allowed in carry-ons – we checked, you’re good to go!
Our original Tuls was a huge success and continues to be one of our most popular products. Since then, we've gotten many requests from you for new additions and features; it's the perfect time to grow the Tuls family! The shops we are working with are the original manufacturing team from the first Tuls project, they do EXCELLENT work and stand by what they produce.
Though the complete delivery schedule will depend on how many we actually produce for this project, we're fairly confident that we will be able to begin the shipping process in June. There are 3 separate stages to the production process and we have several back up resources if we need them, but we are posting a July ship date to be on the conservative side. It gives us some room to correct any issues that may arise.
We've gotten pretty good at estimating production schedules - all 9 of our previous projects have shipped on time!
We've had a very high success rate with USPS on our past projects - it's both affordable and reliable, but please note that we will not be able to track past the US border. We are happy to make alternative shipping arrangements with tracking at additional cost if needed – just let us know.
Risks and challenges
We've been producing regular runs of laser cut and etched parts for several years now, and we have a community of additional shops we can bring in as a back up if an issue arises. The biggest risk to shipping on the stated delivery date is their production capacity or scheduling of other work at the time of our actual order.
For those of you who are a new to our projects, we have a lot of product development experience and communicate often. All 9 of our previous Kickstarter projects have shipped on time, 100% drama free.
We take good care of our backers - your pledge is in very good hands!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
